Are people new to rap in this thread?

******,Queer,Cocksucker...these words are all used regularly in the genre of music. Yeah, he should be smarter than that as he's from XF and what not, but his lyrics aren't anywhere near as bad as some of the biggest names in rap.

I've also seen the 'N' word bandied about on here like its nothing as well, nobody kicks a fuss up about that, and that is just as bad if not worse.

is it not different just generally rapping about random things and including them words to rapping about a certain person and aiming the words at them.

It's used as an insult in rap war all the time or as a putdown. Jay Z has said worse in battle yet when it came to it he used his profile to support gay marriage and campaign for it. It's stupid from James as he's a pop star and needs to keep that in mind, but let's not tag him as homophobic just yet or act like he's said worse than any rap star.

It's just unfortunately language used in the genre.

I watched him on Children in need last night, how on earth did he win X Factor,he sounded awful and in agony, clearly you can win X Factor if you are unable to sing.

Also, if people actually watched his material and followed his work or on Twitter, rather than just lapping up the bullsh*t spin fed to them by the tabloids, they'd actually discover that Frankie is very anti-racism and pro-gay rights. He's also anti-establishment and has a lot of valid and interesting points to raise about attitudes in this country. You don't have to like his comedic material, sure, it's not for everyone I accept that, and yes he does set out to shock...that's his style. But he isn't this 'vile', racist, homophobic, disabled-hating, nasty prick that he's made out to be.

Talking about being offensive and then alluding to the fact that someone should be drowned for making some crap jokes. It's the same outrage Brittania garbage. She can post her opinions all she wants, we can also post rebuttals.

Back to Frankie ... I was very impressed with aspects of his book when I read it a few years back. He definitely has a political and social conscious. Maybe even a spiritual one. It's just a shame none of it ever finds it's way into his comedy. I like him as a personality but Tramadol Nights exposed him as an act. I guess he is a niche comedian, it's just that he became a massive mainstream one through Mock The Week.

Not my cup of tea but whatever. I can see why he would have an audience, definitely.
