Pollen and I can't figure out what but I'm convinced I'm allergic to some washing up thing or something because I've been mad itchy for ages and my skin is bad, but it seems there's no way to test that, so I just try and buy the sensitive skin stuff for it not to be as bad.

As an alcoholic, I'm allergic to alcohol. That's the official medical definition, or part thereof.

Antabus or Antabuse is the absolute killer for alcoholism!

Disulfiram is the generic description.

Indeed, it makes you very sick. I'm not an expert. There were two drugs in my time, antabuse, and anta-something else, can't remember. They were there in George Best's time.
They're obviously not a panacea, because they have failed.

My attention was drawn to Peter Hitchins and one of the Friend's cast today, who'd had an argument on Newsnight. Hitchins said there was no such thing as addiction, and he was right, and the one from friends said people need treatment. He was right too. You can't have off the rack solutions for people, they need to be tailored.

That's fine, but your teeth will fall out with prolonged use!

I think my point about methadone and heroin, and hard liquor and beer is very good. You give Heroin addicts a weaker alternative, and I think alcoholics should be treated the same. I think it could make a real difference.

I'm repeating this point:

Every heroin addict would buy heroin instead of methadone if they did not have to go through the hoops they have to to buy heroin. They settle for methadone because it does the job. It takes the craving off them.
Oh, and where does this come into allergy? Well, drug addicts say they are allergic to their drug. Usually it's alcohol. Nearly always it's alcohol. It's BS in my opinion.
Allergy, disease, illness are all bs words to describe this particular syndrome.
Like Paul Hitchens, I don't believe in alcoholism, nor any other drug addiction as an "illness" or "disease". It's a fact abuse of drugs cause serious illness, and disrupt lives. But boose isn't addictive, nor are cigarettes. Not beyond an individuals ability to kick them, without any help. And I doubt most drugs can't be kicked without a little backbone. Can't speak for all.

Citrus
Pollen

And not an allergy but my skin and hair are really sensitive to a lot of products so I try to buy products with low/no sulfates when I can.
