I think he's done a great job on BOTS, I was fearing the worst when he got the job last year.

So if all of you that like him had control over the show, you would definitely pay him loads to present your show. Somehow I don't think so. He is little better than a 3rd rate fill in that comes cheap and will do for the time being.

I totally agree. He cannot talk to people. All he does is repeat what the other person has said, then goes 'awww' or something else like that to act as a filler.

He's all mouth but he says nothing worth listening to.

I wish C5 had the balls to sack him but it appears they don't. He is not a TV presenter and never will be. Only This Morning have taken pity on him by hiring him to do stuff.

He's absolute rubbish.

I obviously watched a different show then because I thought he was great.

No improvement. The awkward grimaces and not having a clue what to say when a shorter than expected answer was given were painful. I feel sorry for him as I do like him. He's out of his depth as a presenter even on this tacky show. As for the usual dreadful line up of guests. Inarticulate apart from the inane Colleen Nolan. Not bothering to watch it again.

The hopeless guests didn't help, given Charlotte won the thing she had very little input of any value, last year AJ made Rylan look good, I think he needs a co presenter to bounce off, and fill in the awkward gaps, especially when the guests are unable to string more than two words together.

He needs to question their responses like Emma does and push them a bit more and he'll be there in all honesty. I actually reckon having AJ at his side helped not only her but him too because they bounced off each other and there wasn't any dead air, especially with her gob too

But for someone that only really began presenting eight months ago, he's doing pretty well.
So why not give us a professional to start with - why do we have to put up with some cheap, second-rate ex-hm who needs to grow into the role. I didn't see last night and have no intention of watching if that idiot is the best they can do. Cheap, cheap, cheap!

We got Iain Lee, Rylan and Carol McGiffin tonight on Bit on the Psych. Worth a watch.

That much definitely isn't true.

A presenter with eight months experience isn't better than one with eleven years. That doesn't happen.

We do have one - Emma (there would be a serious problem if Rylan got this full time but we've not reached that stage yet), but all presenters have to start somewhere or else there'd be no new ones (in fact, spin-off shows like these are where quite a few presenters have honed their skills, Dermot being one of them) and the thing about Rylan is that he has the personality to take on a presenting role like this, he's mastered the autocue, can ad lib well, it's just he struggles with the rapport with the panelists and audience members. Unlike Emma who'll question them and converse, he resorts to cliche phrases like 'you never know' or 'time will tell', or as I said last night simply remaining silent which was somewhat awkward.

As the shows anchor he is fine but he struggles when it comes to the conversing or interviewing segments, and I do think having AJ to bounce off helped not only her but him too. That's no dig at him either because it'll just be lack of experience and nerves, it's something that he'll learn and pick up over time. Everything else is there it's just that that he needs to iron out.

He's a much more natural presenter than Brian and he had much more experience than Rylan. After eight months in the industry he's doing pretty well, people need to give him a break.
