No it means like "from the beginning", you couldn't say dot instead of one , as in Linda has been miserable from the beginning.

Linda's never happy and comments like that are what ensures Jim will keep on surviving through evictions because the public love to support housemates that the others hate. Also think that's the first time I've seen Ollie and Sam actively take part in a conversation!

I don't blame linda one bit for wishing jim was out, that's the bottom line he really shot himself in the foot last night and he knows it.
He was fake with lionel as he slagged him within seconds of him leaving.
The apology to linda was fake too I'm sure, during an interview following his expulsion from hells kitchen he said the only thing he was sorry about was apologising to Brian.

I'd agree, I really liked him myself but he was very inconsistent on a lot of things he said as you point out.

I can accept he is 82 and that may have been a factor, as on bbbots,he didn't seem to be able to recall much of what he had said in the house.
Oddly enough too Lionel's arguments and complaints were in the main only against the younger ones namely Luisa and Jasmine.
