Channel 4 will not buy back Big Brother OR Celebrity Big Brother anytime soon. The show is staying with Channel 5 for the foreseeable future, even if this series will be the last.

Channel 4 are too stubborn to go back on their decision to cancel their best performing show. There aren't any rumours either - the OP has no reliable source at all. Channel 5 have Big Brother and the show won't be returning to Channel 4.

Today Desmond has stepped down from the board of channel 5 he wants a fast sell up, big brother has not been renewd yet, as the contract stands theres only summer and celeb left, unless somthing gets done qwick theres nomore BB, also desmond funded big brother from his own money, hes allso the guy with all the tabloids so if he dose go when bb summers series starts the show will be ****ed anyway cause none will write about it, this summer big brother will be the death of the show. FACT.

The worst part of all this is that was dropped on us all from out of the blue, at least Channel 4 gave us a years notice that it was ending...Channel 5 is basically sayin by the end of the week we will know :'( Im very nervous and sad right now

The last time Big Brother was renewed it was in April. We're just at the end of February.

This Celebrity series has proved that the show still gets press coverage away from Desmond's press industry. The Sun, Mirror etc were covering the show. So no, this summer isn't the death of the show - you just like creating your own rumours.

I'm confused as to why people are expecting the contract to have already been renewed. In 2012, Channel 5 didn't renew the contract for two years until April 3rd. There is more than enough time for the contract to be renewed.

Because there was something after BB14 that said the contract would run out after BB15, but they've already signed contracts for the house to stay until 2018(?).
