Doesn't bother me and I've actually been diagnosed with OCD.

those pics don't bother me no. But things like my mugs @ home all have to have the handles the same way. The glasses have to go the proper shelf, my tinned food has to be stacked neatly. Dog leads and stuff has to be out before I go to bed but this is just being organised.

I get a bit weird about sealing cards, not full blown OCD. But I always think I've written the wrong name inside it.

I also have a thing with germs. If someone sneezes I make sure to move right away from them And I don't share drink bottles and ice creams with people, etc.

..it was just so heart-breaking to watch her, she was literally shaking at the thought of having to seal them and then having to post them, which she never got round to doing I don't think..I think that most of us have 'a thing' about somethings but maybe not OCD as such...?...

..I'm exactly the same Hayden, I can't bear to be near anyone with a cold or anything and if they sneeze on me, I just want to hit them...

True, but that's the thing - categories. I'm not on about anyone on this thread but it's irritating the way most people assume OCD to be just about being a neat-freak obsessed with perfection and getting through 20 bottles of bleach and hand wash an hour.

..you're right it is different with everyone Redway..I knew a child with OCD which manifested in anger and his 'obsession' was mostly with anything different/anyone different he struggled with any change and had to have things exactly how he felt they should be..and that made it hard also because he could be quite violent toward new pupils because it made him anxious to see them, also when there was any type of special day or any visitors..?..he found that impossible to cope with, it's quite complex and different for everyone but basically makes quite unhappy people...

The pics don't bother me... however, if I'd had some tiling done and they'd made a mistake like any one of those it'd drive me insane and I'd have to bug them till they fixed it.

It's especially interesting to see how these things affect children and there seems to be a bit of overlap in the example you mentioned; I know a lot of people with autistic spectrum disorders struggle to cope with changes and that often causes a lot of anxiety for them. Did he have something like Asperger Syndrome as well or was it just OCD?

oh my god I feel so agitated! I hate stuff like that, I love my life to be sorted, I hate thing's being out of place... Even all of my clothes in my wardrobe, the hangers have to be facing the same way... :$ I wouldn't be able to live with the ones with the tiles in the wrong place. I've have to move..

..he was diagnosed with other disorders as well but not Aspergers, it is why disorders are so hard to diagnose and why it sometimes takes a long time because there can often be similarities in them...strangely enough, his best friend at school has Aspergers and their 'obsessions' were really conflicting and totally the opposite of each other and at first they clashed terribly but after around a year, they became best friends and still are, they're both in their twenties now...
