tbh some of these costume designs in the books are so convenient that it does make me wonder if someone made them up

Is being a fan of dress up really cause for a plagiarism case?

So she dresses as an Egyptian, has clothes with hearts on them, dresses slutty. Is it all specific to that comic or whatever it is?

I would doubt that this is plagiarism per se. She has faithfully copied a style yes, but unless she has claimed these designs as her own then I don't see the problem with it.
