I think to be fair to Matthew,he was virtually only the 'silent' partner as to being a power housemate with Toya.

Compared to Ash, Winston, Marlon? All seemed to be arguing with a woman to m in a very aggressive manner and losing their composure compared to Matthew and Toya made that argument all herself, it got personal to Toya and never ended up being about the veto thing anyway why would Matthew get involved.
