I think the decline in BBUK viewership is less about twists and manipulation and more about the selection of housemates dragging the show down and a show naturally losing viewers over such a long time.

I think only soaps retain large viewing numbers after such a long life.

Valentina being nominated for eviction against herself.

Producers giving immunities, immunities being handed every week by everyone for what ever reasons and some of them being 3-4 weeks of lenght and the fact that you told that they can see their family every week and see what the public/press think of them etc.
Also Sabrina who arrived at week 12 winning over Gaia, who seems to be the only first day housemate and spending all 161 days in the house, not cool.

What an absolute mess of a series.

To be fair, I wanted Sabrina to win, her win is exactly like if one of last nights HMs wins (as Sabrina also entered mid way through). But Gaia was my 2nd fave so very happy that after shedloads of HMs, that my Top 2 were the Top 2. Illaria being fave for so long damaged her popularity, she was immune for pretty much the entire series, first time she was up, she was evicted

this show on channel 5 is called big brother but it no longer resembles the shows I watched over the years. its a weird self serving media bubble made by media types and starring their mates. Ordinary viewers are no longer invited to come and be a housemate. next year the housemates will be all zzzzlist celebs wearing Pepsi and Wonga t shirts.
