I saw this convo and got the impression that Ash is only treating Helen as a 'holiday romance'. Why did he answer 'no comment' to Steven asking about the outside world?

I don't think Ash really intends on getting into a relationship at this point. He seems a bit like Winston, they enjoy the young life of 'pulling' girls and sleeping around, not quite at that stage yet where they feel it's time to go finding someone to be with.
