I don't like how Chris has set his sights on Pav the guy at least deserves a chance, I like a housemate who plays the game I don't have a problem with that! But Chris has spotted something weaker in Pav & he has gone for the Jugular vein! |

And like all games its not whether you win, its how you play the game. Using tactics is game playing and acceptable. Telling lies or using subterfuge is cheating and winning by cheating isn't allowed.
Chris has crossed over from tactics to cheating now by using false emotion which amount to deception and is called cheating. |

He's a fairly genuine, nice guy. He doesn't express his gripes toward the right people though imo, he should be more upfront (without being confrontational). It's quite irritating how he'll complain about someone and then act pleasantly around them.

I do agree with this but (there's always a but) having to live with people 24/7 has got to be tough. I think I'd do the same. No matter how much I disliked a person, I would be pleasant and civil for the sake of getting thru each day.

Why is it not ok for people to bitch about people they don't like? Whether it's Helen, Ashleigh, Chris or anyone else. It's just a little harmless bitch.
I don't consider it game playing to want to get along with people you're stuck in a house with 24/7. I think he genuinely wants to see the good side of everyone and get to know that good side. He's never tried to manipulate anyone or backstab any of his friends. He's never bullied or been nasty to anyone. I think Chris is treating the house as a workplace and trying to be cordial to everyone. And if you look at the context for his DR about Steve, it was after they discovered that Steven was going to nominate them, as Chris explained spot on. And he was never nasty about him either, he called him a 'plonker'; he could've easily have just called him a dick or similar, it was a 'friendly' insult. His comments with Ash were then after Steven got evicted and Steve's friends were emotional. Unlike Steven's gang, he is able to feel sympathetic towards people he's not that close with. I suppose he was feeling a little like he was part of the blame for them feeling that way and felt a little guilty. There was probably a rush of emotions and he then felt like a newbie/person he really doesn't like should've gone rather than a 'plonker'. I think he was also trying to save face after Steven was seemingly trying to influence their nominations next week, so they would focus on Pav rather than him. While I think that their behaviour towards Pav isn't nice and could be seen as bullying, no-one has any loyalties to Pav and I think they think he's an intruder and someone who could potentially ruin their time in the BB house. This is the only element of game playing that I've seen from Chris and I don't think it's that terrible a thing to do. I think Chris's feelings are completely genuine, including his conversation with Helen and his comments to Ash. Helen said that Ash is 'close' with Chris, so I guess there is an element of friendship there that we just haven't seen, so it seems out of place for him to be saying those things to Ash. Chris has also said numerous times that he's been trying with Helen since the beginning, he feels like they've bridged a gap and that she's changed and she can be quite charming to the people in there when she's not being a nasty cow. I'm sure 7 weeks in that house takes its toll on anyone and I think he's just feeling more outwardly emotional now.

Liked Chris the first few weeks but now he's turned into a over dramatic merkin. Kissin Helens arse, would love to see the reactions if Pav somehow managed to stay next week. The house would meltdown

..absolutely, it's a bit like a working environment only more intense in that it's an environment where the people around you are not people/personalities you would necessarily choose as friends and may even completely clash with in some cases but inevitably, you do have to find a ground to get along with that person for the environment of others and your own self-preservation..but also, to 'let off steam' now and again when you find something/someone particularly irritating is also important..the thing with the BB house is that it's all so intensified because they can't get away from each other so letting off steam may be more frequent or it could just be highlighted more for manipulation....

I couldn't care less about his bitching. It's his bloody crying and acting up that puts me off
"We've grown!" "You're the only reason I'm still here" How anyone can listen to a grown man say **** like this and not throw up is beyond me. |

I'm not going to change my opinion on him for doing one thing I don't really agree with. I don't understand what he sees in Helen to want to be friends with her, but I'm not going to dislike him for being nice or caring for someone
