Some of them really haven't a clue as to how badly they are coming across as to their treatment of Gary.

He can be annoying but for me watching it is annoying in a funny way,once used to him, they should be able to brush aside really negative thoughts as to him.

Gary's acting was terrible. So he failed... unfortunately. But James sussed out that he was supposed to press the red button to win the task. So if James figured it out he should have kept his mouth shut to get the luxury shopping budget, and just pressed the button. Instead he just shouted out... "We are supposed to press the red button to win the task, but Gary isn't convincing us that he is scared!"... something like that.

However.. Gary failed the task.

they failed miserably. These are the same people who would walk over or around a person lying bleeding in the street instead of calling an ambulance or trying to help. Gary did a good job acting!
