It just needs to have each series on only once a year. Two CBBs kills the "it's coming to an end!" feeling about normal BB and kills the likelihood of any enjoyment of the summer CBB.

They should've given it a break after it finished on Channel 4, the hype for the return would've been massive. I think if they gave it a break now people wouldn't care about the return. Having said that though a lot of people don't realise it's still on so if they did a big advert campaign in a few years about it returning then maybe people would think it hadn't been on since 2010.

A break sounds good for me as a viewer because I'm kind of bored of it, especially with two CBBs a year. But, yeah, a new production team is probably most vital.

No, no breaks in my view, it would be too easy then to just not bring it back.
It still has a strong core of viewers and it is picking up new viewers too I have found.

What it does need is a totally new production team and less BB interference in the process of the housemates time in the house with BB more just overseeing as to behaviour and tasks.

The CBB series this year have been the better of the 3 series this time, for me BB itself was ruined by BB not the housemates.

So no for me as to a break.

I think what is spoiling it is the interference from BB and all the silly little stunts it pulls trying to gain larger { in their minds} viewer interest.

Where as it just alienates a lot would be regular watchers.

I voted option 4 { Crack on and loving it} But it could be improved.

I would like to see less 'grassing' up of housemates. There is no way they will be candid in the diary room about fellow guests if they know that at some time in the future know it's going to be used against them.

At least if they do put it on a break, they need to show other series from around the world like BBAU or Big Brother Canada.

Just a question.

Out of the 24 of you who opted for option 3/4 when did you start watching Big Brother?

That totally defeats the purpose of giving the show a break for time to regenerate itself and kind of leave the public forum to regain a taste for it.

I watched the very first series from half way through. I started watching when someone told me that they were naked, and painting on the walls.

Have to agree......it just needs to go back to the way it was when C4 had it.

They have played around too much and its lost its originality ....

I cant see how people cant recognise that this year has failed.
Since bb started in 2000 we now have freeview, netflix, amazon prime (lovefilm), and sky. Taking ratings from 5 potential channels to God knows how many.

No programme consistently gets 5 million viewers anymore.

Everyone has said give it a try with back to basics next summer, 1 Million viewers is still a lot more ratings than other shows on C5 get!! its a great format for advertisers to reach their key demographic which is 15-35 year olds.

and this year was the world cup which didnt help ratings and a miserable house.

the CBB in Jan was brilliant.

All the old soaps no longer pull in the viewers - x factor etc, all are loosing viewers- the way we watch television has changed, BB is also going to change - to expect it to stay the same as it was in 2000 is unrealistic

It's just this years bb that makes me think this, the irony is they tried to copy bb14 with these almost famous people and it totally flopped.

C5 have proven they can make a top notch bb just as they have with bb14/cbb13, they need to cast really good people no agents.

1 bb
1 Cbb
Back to basics
Inventive tasks

CBB summer needs scrapping, and they need better diversity and real NOMS in a civilian series.
