I've never really been a fan of anyone, but lately I've been loving Nelly Furtado.

I don't agree in being somebody's 'Number 1 fan' unless they do something really damn good and then i'm just a 'fan'. Appearing on a reality show doesn't make people 'stars' in my eyes nor people to aspire to be like. I'm more interested in concentrating on myself than celebs. Or should i say 'celebs'.

Well if no one were there fans they'll wouldn't really get anywhere would they! Fan is used pretty lightly and some people are here(me including) are pretty hard core fans of people therefore we are there number one fans I don't think there is anything wrong with aspiring to be someone who was reality tv,everyone has their idols are these are ours.

Yeah which is great, that is fair enough. I was simply giving my opinion on the matter and somebody living in a Big Brother house and basically doing 'nothing' doesn't make me want to follow in their footsteps really. Don't get me wrong, i love Big Brother but aspiring to be one of the contestants is a big no for me. Somebody like Martin Luther King is somebody to aspire to be like, not Chantelle IMO.

I know we can't ALL, well we could but others are far more interested in celebrities who basically do nothing for there living rather than people who did actually make a difference.

At the end of the day, it's all down to personal preference and mine is that i would rather my kids aspire to be somebody who made a difference rather than somebody who said a lot of 'blonde', and 'stupid' things whilst on a show.

Having said that, as a housemate and person i do really like Chantelle, i'm not slating her.

I suppose. But on the majority we do admire people who have done good things in the world. However celebs are much easier asseible they are magazines all the time. Its not really that people aspire to be that person its that they want the life really. And being a celebrity this days is much easier inreach for someone than saving the world. I do see your point and argee but ya know I just have a different view on the whole thing.

That's what happens on a forum though, you do make posts with long conversations as that is the sole reason for a forum.

Each and every topic on this forum is open to debate, deliberate and share and view opinions on the topic and are not just here for one word 'Chantelle' response's. Other members might be interested to know my opinion on it all and if i did do it over U2U then they wouldn't know which defeats the whole object of having a public forum. If i wanted a private discussion then i would have done it over I.M and wouldn't have joined a forum.

Exactly. I have not once said there isn't such things as biggest fans, i said i haven't got one and i then added quite a bit more too rather than just saying 'dont av 1' which is a pretty poor response to a question don't you think Andy!?

Each topic is there to be discussed, if you wanted it for people to just a name of a celebrity rather than giving an opinion then do it on another forum because i will always give my opinion on matters which interest me.
