I have no idea if they truely love each other or not, just congrats to them. Stephen has been through some troubled times with his health issues, it's good to see him quite happy

Around Ł12 million according to 'Rich'. His real wealth is in his intellect, knowledge and personality though, so it's a pity he doesn't hire a surrogate mother and have her AI'd with his sperm so he can have a child to inherit everything.

I suppose he gets a pretty healthy fee for QI, and then the Harry Potter audiobooks must have paid well. Plus he's often doing voice-work (that Little Big Planet game, various adverts)... I was just confused because he hasn't really created something to reel in the royalties and merchandise money (other than the Fry/Laurie sketch shows, which I can't imagine earned much)

Shaun, this is from the 'HowRich' website:

His first big pay check came when he made nearly GBP 1 million on his rewrite of the musical Me and My Girl.

Stephen Fry is also a hugely successful author. His first novel, The Liar, was published in 1993, and was critically acclaimed. Revenue from his varied book sales are estimated to exceed a total of Ł 4 million and has made a Fry an estimated Ł 500 000 in royalties.

Fry has also made a fortune from TV ads, earning Ł 100 000 just from the M&S 2009 Christmas advert.

Excluding intangible assets, such as the potential future value of copyrights to his work, we are estimating that Stephen Fry has a net worth of around GBP 12 000 000 (USD 20 million as of April 2012).

Good luck to them both. And despite the fact some people think Fry is punching above his weight because his fella is younger and prettier, I disagree. Stephen Fry is a successful, funny, wealthy, erudite, engaging man and a great catch in his own right. I hope they'll be very happy.
