you are talking about specific medical need, it would be the same with my nephew, who cannot eat nuts of any kind, but we are talking about Alicias kid, who is having a diet that is blatantly bad for her health, forced on her because of an obsessive mother who has a mental problem, body dysmorphia!!

She would not be allowed to foster a child with her condition but feel free to **** up this child if it came out of you!!!

What's wrong with being different? Eating particular food really isn't harmful to Alicia's child.

I think Alicia is being a little bit too strict with it, but really all she's trying to do is give her daughter a healthy diet because she loves her. Parents who allow their children to gorge on junk food are far worse

Its entirely up to Alicia how she wants to raise her child, as long as the little girl is healthy, happy and in no way in any danger then it's naff all to do with anyone else.

Totally up to her really, as long as they are getting well balanced food.

Our kids were not allowed a salt pot of sugar dish in the house when they were little. No red meat, burgers of whatever else we deemed crap.
Never owned a chip pan either, if they had chips then a fish came with it

not anti-vegan if its your own adult choice but a growing child needs certain nutrients that do not exist in nuts and seeds

I am actually anti-vegan though lol, vegetarian is bad enough, but I can understand people not eating meat, vegan is just for people with m....l h....h problems

you'll have to guess the rest cause I'll get banned lol

I'm not sure why it bothers you if someone else chooses to be vegan. It hardly makes them mentally ill.

As for Alicia, at least she's not forbidding her child from having friends with certain names.

Justifying one nutjob by saying she is not like another

Pure logic

I don't recall "justifying" her choice regarding what her kids eat.

..this and this, although with treats/sweets etc at parties, I think that maybe it would be better to allow her daughter occasional special treats..I just don't personally believe in making things 'taboo' because it can be very counter productive...but she is giving her daughter a healthy lifestyle, which is much better than parents who are extreme in the opposite way and allow their children to become over-weight with an unhealthy diet...Katie really has no self-awareness at all though to even comment on it as she has openly admitted 'controlling' her children's decisions....

It's too controlling. Sweets were my main diet, I remember buying 13 lollipops in one go. I didn't even get fat.

Teeth are OK so long as you brush them twice a day.

She is just giving her kids a good diet in their formative years and when they get older they can make their own decisions about what food they consume .

I'm pretty convinced that the food you eat determines your health surely? So yeah...it's a fairly big thing?

Katie was out and out rude to Alicia imo .I also thought Katie would be down with healthy living considering she hats fat people including kids....and one way to keep fat at bay is to ....NOT eat it !!
