I don't like rigging, but I don't think theyre really doing it either, they have nothing more invested in Perez than in any other housemate at this point. They do the stupid secret room/power twist every year so why does everyone think they thought it up for Perez? Perez was ready to go back in the house so they didn't do it to save him from leaving either. when it happens to someone who is hated everyone screams conspiracy. but if its a nobody no one thinks about it

More rigging for entertainment purposes any day. The public can't be trusted to make logical decisions for the benefit of the show, so I am all for production manipulation to ensure that the housemates who are contributing to the success of a particular series (if that's the case) are kept around. I'm quite happy to admit I would be pissed off if they were fixing it for the wrong people, but on C5 it thankfully hasn't really happened...yet.

The public shouldn't be able to vote and our format needs scrapping, but of course the revenue generated means that won't be happening any time soon, so the next best thing is for the producers to put a stop to detrimental public decisions that ruin series after series when they're just getting going.

If anything I wish they'd take the rigging further. Start handing out final passes to housemates with the most social media mentions, eject housemates who do **** all. Bring it on I say

Its an interesting one. I think one of the reasons many people don't watch bb is because they don't want to invest the time in it. If it was all manipulation and random events, people could pick it up and drop it as they see fit. In Russia there is a reality program that has been going on for years, its treated similarly to a soap.

I've been watching for ten years this year, if you asked me five years ago my answer would probably have been different but the format on C5 is so far removed from what it once was, coupled with the fact that I am so fed up of the majority of decisions the public make on this show that I'm quite happy for things to be manipulated and rigged to ensure it stays on air, which is effectively what they're doing.

The problem is the way the public views the show, and it's obviously from a subjective and viewer perspective than an objective and production one - like I get that, it makes sense, but that doesn't mean it's beneficial for the show. Of course the public aren't going to realise or even admit the housemates they hate benefit the show, cause to them they don't, but in the grand scheme of things 99% of the time they do and I see no issue with the producers ensuring they're kept around to make sure the majority of people stick with it and it's not axed. People love to hate other people, and the longer hateable characters are kept in the house, the more people tune in and the more the press are interested.

Are you a TOWIE/ MIC fan? I feel like there's a connection between all this rigging and people who prefer reality/entertainment shows to reality/gameshows but could be wrong?

I hate rigging and manipulation. But having said that, I would hate back to basics.

I want a series like BB5-BB7. Less manipulation, but good enough to ensure natural conflict.
I think BB6 was perfect at doing this, which is why it is one of my favourites.

BB6 would get so many complaints now.

Watching it back last year it was shocking what everyone got away with, racism, bullying and masterbating.

God what I would give for another series like that and give all these Ofcom crew a seizure.

Surprise, surprise - I'm a boring old fogy, and a long term BB addict.

Personally, I loved the original format, especially the (once weekly?) show that was all about psychology and the science of the experiment, so I'm really in your camp. However, for practical reasons, and being older and more cynical, I must accept that ratings are all these days.

Return to the old format and that will be the last series. I'd rather have a rigged show (with minimal rigging) than no show at all.

We should protest by not voting, that would hit their bank balance.

I think there should be an option called 'Go with the flow.' I don't want a repetitive Big Brother show. Each year is a bit different, and this year the game is unique. I just want each show to be unique, so I don't really care to pick any option. I go with the flow.

So they don't do face to face nominations, a secret room and secret missions every year?

What is unique about this year?

Its been good but the twists and tasks are just repeats of previous years.

I don't know why you are asking, I have watched Big Brother since the first one, I didn't watch the Brian Dowling ones, but I have never seen a series where an housemate takes over the show.

No rigging or manipulation please. It seriously puts me off watching the show all together.

Is it? Manipulated scenes for entertainment purposes sounds similar to TOWIE to me... And TOWIE is a disservice to mankind so..
