I'm liking her message, gay rights is still an unresolved issue. But I thought she was the type of women that would have more opinions of her own.

i asked about this in my thread like i dunno what she does apart from bein on RP's drag race and wondered what else she did and yes when it came out shes straight i was a bit confused. she seems very preachy.

I love Michelle. She has been my winner since probably the end of the first week and she still is. I had never heard of her but I think in the crazy house that is bb she was brilliant in trying to diffuse very difficult situations and arguments earlier in the series. She doesn't get too involved in all the rants and rows. She is feisty when she has to be and even though she HAS bitched she would be towards the lower end of the scale as far as bitching is involved. She has remained loyal to her little group of friends.

I respect other peoples opinions to the contrary but of the gang of maniacs left in the house she is the best in my eyes

I was actually thinking about this during tonight's episode.

She came across well at the beginning of the series but as it's gone on I've been a bit concerned about how she claims to be representing an entire group of people (who are all individuals, in turn as variedly messed up and brilliant as anyone else on the earth) as though they are all the same.

I'm sure Perez will be irritating to many of the people Michelle claims to represent in the same way that he irritates other people but this whole idea that he's 'letting down' her community is kind of crap. I mean, what is it..."sorry Perez, I can't represent you, you're the wrong kind of gay"?!! Isn't that discrimination?

For me, that's the crux of my issue with Michelle (well, along with her occasional two-faced bitching but let's leave that to one side). I could accept her not getting on with Perez because he acts like a knob quite often and must be a pain to live with in the house but it's the disappointment angle that I take issue with, ie, "I don't like you because you're not behaving like my idea of a gay man should."
