They can view it if they clear their cache/cookies or with an incognito tab though.

It's been mentions plenty of times on here in a light hearted matter I didn't think it offended anyone... Or am I just not aloud to be apart of the jokes on here?

jokes are general to friends... and you and I have never chatted or discussed anything in my recollection, so why are you pressing on something that had nothing to do with you

Jokes with members who you have never spoken to are none of your business.

re: that creature I don't think that section being off-limits would stop them, they'd just post it elsewhere but I still think it's a good idea.

No-votes shouldn't be valid without an explanation.

Well yeah, everyone on the first page gave a reason as to why it should be private, it's not really a debate if people just say no without giving a reason

Not really people have a right to vote in a poll and not be interrogated for their choice I don't see every member who's voted yes being made to explain themselves.

Because a lot of points towards the yes vote have already been made, there were none for the no vote if you have an opinion at least explain it seeing as nobody else has

Yeah, I agree with everyone saying yeah.

I think the post count thing is a good idea. When it comes down to it, it's a big brother forum, not a chat and games one, so members will be joining for big brother purposes (most likely).

And once they have made enough posts the can enjoy the benefits of other parts of the forum.

I think this will do more damage that good. When you first join you wanna get to know the other posters and the best place for that is c&g and not being able to go in there will make it even harder for new members to integrate, also It would encourage people with more posts too look down at those with fewer posts coz c&g would bee seen as some sort of exclusive club.

It only has to be 5 or 10 posts, I know some forums have 100 or something and I agree that is OTT.

If it's something like 5 posts then it's not very much or blocking them out for very long.

Just enough to detect a spam or multi account.

Yeah 5 posts is alright but what's the point? What's to stop a multi from posting 5 times then going into chat and games and causing drama? What's to stop a multi from causing drama in other parts of the forum?

Because as Vicky has said, the account can be checked to see if proxies have been used.

The Weaves aren't exactly smart or subtle with their multis or in general. With this in place we'd be able to stop them in their tracks a lot quicker and easier although.... if they don't stop they may find that their bullying of others will come with real life ramifications...

You can get to know members in the lobby. That's where you introduce yourself. By then you'd have accrued enough posts to enjoy C&G
