Really now,lol, we ALL have that Helen side to us,Can any of us honestly say that we have gone through life never being nasty or offending anyone? If that is so,kudos to you although I don't believe it,Helen is loud and brash and lets be honest here,Jack is overweight,anyone can see that,some people will say that about him,others will just 'think' it,so those thoughts are there,I have seen loads of comments on here about the housemates looks etc,I've even said Harry is grubby etc myself,we say it on a forum,they say it on TV,what Helen said about Jack,is exactly what some have been saying on here.

..not purposefully no Kaz and I think that many people haven't...whatever their opinions on someone, they realise that's only their perspective and don't feel the need to project their negativity on that person because they could be wrong in their views anyway and that's quite often the case as well...but others will always disagree with their negative opinion anyway because that's their different perspective of that person...also the reason that Helen is one of the people who was chosen to go back is because she's not representative of 'every day people' but is quite extreme in a negative way in that she does project her own her opinions/which is all they are and not 'truth' at all onto others with glee and without thought...and yes Jack is overweight I agree but insulting him/being derogatory about him will only ever lower his self esteem even further and increase any health issues it may cause him....the 'Helens' will only ever make others feel worse about themselves so is never a good thing....

I've seen time and time again on this forum hideous defamation of a housemate for their looks or their occupation does that not come under the umbrella for consideration as a confidence/esteem affecting slight?
the nasty comments aimed towards older hms or those who have had surgery these too may have issues and yet there are countless threads and derogatory comments made about them.
The reason that comments about Jack are seized upon is becouse he is an 'everyday person' someone who is considered 'normal' lovely grumbly chubby jack is just like lots of teens we know.... should that exempt him from criticism should we all redirect our ire to the damaged goods like harry maybe?

..’immorality’ is a judgement on someone’s character which is what housemates do as do the public/viewers which is based on their own personal judgement of what they personally think is ‘immoral’ and also not the ‘truth’....it’s not a judgement of physical appearance from someone who has been unhappy enough to have had surgery to make changes to their own physical appearance or in total disregard to anyone’s feelings...and Jack is not ‘exempt’ from anything obviously as his physical size has been referred to many times but that doesn’t make it any less unnecessary to do so or to applaud anyone who does so by excusing it as being ‘honesty’ ...Helen aims to hurt and offend, Helen aims to ‘entertain’, Helen aims to deliver what is expected of her, nothing even remotely resembling ‘truth’ or ‘honesty’....and if that 'fat' housemate was a public favourite that 'honestly' would not be applauded as such a positive trait at all...but of course she knows exactly where public popularity lays and what to 'pick at'.....

No, I can say I haven't. I may make unpleasant comments as to someone who makes unnecessary nasty comments about others in their defence or in a general comment about them..
However I do not and would not judge or deride anyone for just their appearance, how they talk or as to age.

Especially moreso as to those I do not know at all either.
Obviously if someone gets at me, I will retaliate but will still try to do so,to the best of my ability,as to relevant facts and not appearance, age or looks.

There is simply no need at all to deride people for how they look or their weight or their age.
There are people overweight in my own family and friends, I would not get at them for that or even comment on it and certainly never use weight as an issue to get at someone.

I judge people on how they act towards others and how they treat them too, not on looks,weight or anything else.

Yes, absolutely. There is a way to interact/debate or basically argue with another individual without any mention of their appearance.

I find people who back their own arguments up by directing personal insults towards those they disagree with, do so because they can't argue the point in question.


I accept this can go on in school but find it very disappointing when it continues into adulthood.
