Nicky is very underrated indeed, re-watching BB8 made me love her more..She's in my top 3 of the series (I think she was 5th/6th in 2007) but i prefer her to Charley and she should not have gone because the person she was up against was ughh horrid

Nicky is the very definition of underrated gem. Bloody amazing housemate second best of all time. bb8 having the awkward rep it does, plus Charley being the one thing people remember from this series has unfortunately overshadowed her. I’m glad there are people that appreciate her for the legend that she is <3

I'm confused. If so many on this thread are calling Nicky Maxwell an underrated housemate (as does the forum whenever she's brought up), then how on earth is she an underrated housemate?

I think most of the bb8 cast are ‘underrated’. It’s kinda brushed aside and forgotten about as a series and labelled as the start of the decline of big brother. Non of the housemates really got the same press and opportunities as the people in the series before them, despite the fact imho it had an insanely strong cast. Gems like Nicky, Carole, Laura, shabnam and Leslie are never ever talked about or held to the same regard as the likes of housemates from bb6 & bb7. Nicky especially imo was absolutely fantastic and grotesquely underrated for how good of a housemate she was

You had Samanda earning a million just months after leaving BB, Chanelle and Ziggy being in practically every magazine in the UK, Brian getting a lot of TV/press attention, Liam doing alot of modelling gigs, Charley getting to appear on alot of different specials etc. BB9 was the first series where people truly stopped caring about what the housemates did after they left the house.

That’s cos BB9 was utter crap.
I actually feel sorry for those that watched it live.
Imagine waiting everyday and watching a season drag along and every highlight show being more than 50% boring.
