Does anybody deserve to be bullied? I am no fan of Jodie but it constituted bullying in my book. But everyones entitled to their opinion. I just think this whole Shilpa thing has been blown out of proportion. If she were white, then we wouldn't be having this conversation. Although I do think Jackiey was the most offensive one calling her "the indian".

but is calling her "the indian" offensive in Jackieys eyes, after all Shilpa is from India! she is so ignorant that she did not think that other people might find her words offensive. I said in an earlier thread that this is a bigger issue for those outside the house than it is to Shilpa, why dont people wait to see how she feels she has been treated!!!

Ganging up on someone and having a go is bullying in my book. Don't get me wrong, I am no fan of Jodie, and think she is a stupid cow, but am merely trying to highlight past incidents that have gone on in the house. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and in mine, we would not be having this conversation if she were white. For me, Jackiey came out with the worst comments, referring to her as "the indian", but where was the furore then?

Has everybodys' minds been erased to the bullying on last years CBB? Let me remind you:

Jodie Marsh, the ex-Celebrity Big Brother contestant who says she was bullied, has offered advice to Shilpa Shetty in an exclusive Sky News Online interview.

Marsh suffered a tough time on the series last year - and it took her six months to get over it.

The model was relentlessly attacked by TV host Michael Barrymore and Respect MP George Galloway on the show.

She told Sky News Online: "My advice to Shilpa would be go back to India and be with the people who love you, really love you, your friends and family.

"The bottom line is that you don't have to see those people again, they are idiots."

Marsh broke down in tears several times last year as she suffered an assault on two fronts from Barrymore and Galloway.

She said the worst thing was that there was no where to hide in the Big Brother house.

"Shilpa will be depressed and terrified at the moment and hating every minute of it," Marsh said.

"But she will be putting on a brave face, laughing and smiling.

"I really feel for her at the moment. It was probably the most difficult job I had to do.

"I just could not get away from it. I begged Big Brother to leave but they just told me to stay away from them.

"So I stayed in the bedroom and they just followed me in there."

Jodie in the bullying campaign She continued: "What's happening to Shilpa is exactly what happened to me.

"They formed a gang and they try and make you feel like you are going insane.

"Then they tell you you are insane for not seeing that!"

Marsh, who went on to star in an anti-bullying campaign, thought the ordeal would end when she left the house.

But it was only just beginning.

"They voted Michael Barrymore as the runner-up," Marsh said.

"I couldn't believe it. They voted Michael Barrymore second when everyone had watched him bully me for the last week on TV.

"My first thought was that I just hate Britain - I hated Britons. The country is really screwed in the head. How could they do that?"

Marsh's recovery was hindered by the fact she had been badly bullied at school - the house bullying was a "really hard blow".

She said: "Shilpa has not got that so hopefully she can come out of this more stable."

And I seem to remeber Pete Burns being part of the bullying gang. So why when it happens to an Indian woman is it racist? I only find Jackiey to be th racist one but there was no uproar then. Also if Jack did call her a pa** then he is a *****!

I am sick about jodie poxy marsh and what she has to say Who Cares !!!
Ditto. If she really hates Britain and Britons so much why doesn't she just leave, get off our TVs and ***** herself elsewhere.
As for the comment about Jackiey being the only racist: Jo, Danielle and Jade have also made racist remarks

Jodie wasn't bullied as abd as Shilpa because Jodie wasn't in there as long as her.

Default Why was Jodie Marsh\'s Bullying \"Okay\"

Something that has troubled me... why has Shilpa's bullying been treated so much more seriously than Jodie's from last year? It seems to me now that the word 'racist' has been thrown in everyone is jumping on the band wagon, the press have created this crock of **** and then the politicians have used it as an excuse to become more earnest, when they probably haven't watched any of it anyway. What I'm asking is whether bullying is "okay" because they "deserved it"?

I don't remember last year's well enough to say whether Jodie Marsh was bullied, but I remember Pete Burns viciously verbally-attacked Traci Bingham.

That was pretty bad also. Also Shabhaz's treatment in BB7, although he was clearly unsuited to being on Big Brother, which mitigates it I suppose a little.

I think that to compare the 2 shows is madness. Shilpa has not done anything provacative to deserve the treatment she is getting. Jodie however became a victim of her own small minded behaviour. Yes she was bullied but only following terrible bullying by herself, not saying that it is right it is just a fact. Look at the way she tried to rally the house to ignore Pete, now that is victimisation!

Shilpa is handling the whole dreadful situation well and should be pretty proud of herself when she finally leaves the house.

You could argue that Shilpa was in the wrong anyway. But my point is, just because someone "brought it on therself" does it suddenly mean that bullying is justified? That's pathetic.

NOBODY deserves to be bullied for whatever reason. And by bullying, I mean constantly berating someone, or many people ganging up on them at once.
