Itīs really not.
Btw, do you people use/like oregano in a pizza? Like sprinkling it all over the topping. I always use oregano as it makes the pizza even tastier than it already is. |

To me when itīs on a pizza it doesnīt even taste like seafood imo.

I always pick it as a topping in the rare occasions I order a pizza but I don't think I've ever seen it on a supermarket one.
Oddly I adore tuna and salmon yet despise all other fish ![]() Last edited by RichardG; 01-11-2015 at 04:20 PM. |

I like it, often put it on the pizzas I make from scratch at home.

I've never tried it (I normally have Mushroom and Sweetcorn) but I love tuna and sweetcorn sandwiches so I think I would like tuna pizza?

Tuna really has very little flavor on it's own. it's a very bland fish. i don't know why anyone would specifically put it on pizza unless they just wanted extra protein.
also isn't tuna meant to be eaten raw with just some searing on the outside? I would imagine in a pizza oven the tuna would become very dry and flakey.

Well, i donīt know what to tell you. In my opinion the combination of tuna, tomato sauce, cheese and pizza crust and oregano make it a delicious experience. Meaning it tastes really good.
In terms of pizza condiments (not including tomato sauce and cheese) itīs the second most common after ham that people want to be put in their pizzaīs here. Third one is salami, i think. The pineapple probably. For me itīs "difficult" to imagine a pizza without tuna. For me it has the value as crust, cheese and tomato sauce in a pizza. Meaning it is absolutely essential to it. It feels like something important is missing from a pizza, if it doesnīt have tuna in it. |

i think people from finland are just used to liking fish because there aren't many tasty land animals in finland naturally. so they come from a fishing culture. i don't think finland has many wild chickens or cows or pigs.

I donīt think there are many, if any "wild" chickens, cows or pigs in Finland. Most of them are breaded as cattle (for meat) and then some of them for the produce of milk, eggs and maybe even wool sometimes. Farm animals in terms of numbers: (Statistics made in December 1.5.2015) Cows: Cowīs (breaded for meat) total number in Finland in: 914 830 Milch (milk) cowīs total number: 285 150 Calverīs: 58 700 Pigīs: (Statistics made in December 1.12.2014) Total number of pigs: 1.22 million pigs (+3% from last year) Sows: 117 800 (-3%) Chickenīs: (2013 or 2014) Total number of chickens: 2.9 - 3.2 million chickens Then there are other winged cattle, but you only mentioned chickens. Sheepīs: Total number of sheep's in 2014: 135 500 Horses: (in 2014) Total number of horses: 74 600 ------------ Reindeer's: Total allowed number of reindeer's (legislated in 2010): 203 700 Last edited by Calderyon; 02-11-2015 at 12:53 PM. |
