Any kind of format with clear rules would be nice.
The boat was missed really with HoH - they introduced it in BB9 and it worked quite well, adapted to exist alongside our rules. They then kept it for the first week of the following Celeb BB (and added a HoH room) and it was building quite nicely and they could have used that series to really test it, but despite the celebs and fans speculating on who would be the next HoH and how it might affect things producers stupidly dropped it without a trace. Although the eviction voting doesn't bring in the money anymore (C4 said towards the end of their run it actually lost them money) and although I think even the fans are more disconnected from the voting process than ever I don't think BBUK is quite ready to ditch the public vote. The Brazilian hybrid format though could really work for the UK - basically HoH nominates one person, other HMs nominate a second and viewers evict. BBUK could just go their own way too if they'd just settle on a clear weekly format. It doesn't have to be a HoH but a killer nomination, like in the last week of Celeb BB, would work well alongside a regular nomination process (two with most votes up). Indeed I think it would be more interesting if each week there was a task and the winner had a choice - they could either have immunity or a killer nomination.

Yes, UK version ran its course. It has become all so predictable and boring. CBB winner is usually someone from some reality shows like Georgie Shore or Only Way Essex etc. BBOTS should be abolished, at least the current format. BBUK winner should earn his or her place as winner by winning individual challenges, not handed out by stupid public. Most winners were undeserving in recent years. The public voting is so stupid, they always get it wrong, and good housemates always get evicted first. Everyone knows the game and how to play it, how to manipulate public. UK version is so lame now. Time to shake things up! |

Nah, keep them separate.
BBUK just needs a stable every week schedule. A good 3-5 day weekly task, normal nominations without any twists after the nominations and an public vote eviction at the end of the week. That being said, the Brazilian format does sound intriguing. |

I did mention it briefly but to expand on it:
- Housemates compete for HoH - Housemates compete for the Angel (their equivalent of the Veto - winner awards immunity to one person) - HoH nominates one person - Other HMs vote once each to determine a second nominee. HoH breaks any tie - Viewers vote to evict They do throw twists in which can see a third nominee, often through the Red Phone (common in South American BB's) where a phone in the house rings and there are consequences for whoever picks it up. It is the most popular version of BB in the world - in 2010 150m votes were cast in the final, out of a population of 200m - so the equivalent of a show here getting around 45m votes.

I voted no in the poll but if it did, then I still would not turn off and doubt many would really as I think most of those watching BB now are real diehard followers of it anyway.

I'd like the UK to have a show with the BBUSA format but obviously under a different name and probably on a different channel airing at a different time of year. We would still keep BBUK and its formatting as well

Big Brother's format in the USA was adopted after the normal format failed them. Our format still works and shouldn't be changed. I really dislike the format in the US, the only part I like is the HoH.

If you think the BBUK format is still working you're deluded. Indeed if you think BBUK still has a format you're an absolute fool.

No I like how viewers get to make decisions. I wouldn't turn off though if the format was changed, i would just rather it didn't.

I do think they'll switch to that format eventually.
I'd be happy with it, because it'd mean no more stupid "he said she said" tasks and diary room spills that are IMO ruining the show. But they would need to keep the once-a-day-highlights format. If they only did 3 episodes a week like BBUS/BBUK, I'd say no. UNLESS, they gave a free 24/7 feed.
