If people wish to get drunk to the point of throwing up, that's their prerogative quite frankly there's far more pressing issues in the world to worry about, it's not harming you so who cares?
Of course people are entitled to do what they want, and I'm entitled to say I think it's ridiculous if I think it is. The "well it doesn't harm you" point doesn't really work for me since, using that logic, none of us should ever voice a negative opinion on anything that happens on BB since it doesn't directly affect us.

Brilliant point.

And of course, the big difference between someone forcing more alcohol down their throats than they can actually handle and someone liking a cup of tea and an early night is that the latter doesn't cause hassle for the people around them.

Why are you debating whether a woman can drink tea or not

Anyways she wasn't to my taste so I voted no.

Absolutely! Except within the confines of an entertainment programme, that's not exactly riveting TV...by all means do that at home, but if you're gonna spend Ł4K to come into the Big Brother house, at least make an effort.

And no before someone states the obvious - that does not mean the act of throwing up is riveting TV either - but making a mess and pissing others off in the process certainly can be, moreso than retiring to bed early is at least.

Indeed, except this isn't any normal house, it's the Big Brother one. If there's any environment where I'd expect people to be getting paralytic, throwing up and acting like twats it's in there. Quite frankly if you don't like that sort of thing then a) you definitely shouldn't go in there and b) Big Brother probably isn't the show for you

Well I would say that you perhaps have your priorities in the wrong place. There's people who can't afford to put food on the table, a million people living off food banks, hundreds of thousands of people who are unemployed and a huge number of people who have problems with drug addictions as a result of all of these, but people whom drink so much to escape reality and then throw up are committing such a massive crime! Sure

So long as someone clears up their own mess if they throw up, I still don't see how it's of any importance to anyone else what someone chooses to do with their body. Just smacks of being snobby when really, live and let live.

Though of course that's reversed in the Big Brother house because causing hassle for the people around them is a good thing and it should be applauded

She shouldn't have spent 4k to be in the house if she doesn't like people who get drunk/being sick after drinking.

You've been perfectly civil? Jack, you're very rarely perfectly civil to people on here and this is no different.

Case in point, having the gall to suggest issues like poverty, unemployment and addiction aren't of importance to me. Each one of those has, and continues to, have a negative affect on my life, before you know anything about me don't make insulting and unfair assumptions about me as a person. You don't have that right.

Jesus Christ, we're ****ing discussing Big Brother. Not everything has to become a debate about social issues and an excuse to have a self righteous rant about how small minded people are to the real world etc etc.

Please highlight the post in this thread where I wasn't civil to someone before they were uncivil to me? I even responded to your initial quote respectfully, it was only when you tried to patronise me that I retaliated. I will always engage in civil debates (with few exceptions with certain on season regulars who shan't be named) with people until they try to make it otherwise, this thread has been no different. Where was I rude initially?

You are now putting words into my mouth and exaggerating what I've said. Again - I am and continue to be curious as to why someone getting drunk and throwing up (which just happens to be indicative of a whole range of social issues, the point I'm making is that it's not as simple as 'well just drink less' which is more or less the reasoning you cited, not that you don't care about other issues) is at all a problem for anyone else but themselves that's all, you chose to jump on this, not me or anyone else

But it's not always "indicative of a whole range of social issues". Sometime it's as simple as someone just wanting to go out and get ridiculously drunk for the sake of it and those are the situations I was referring to. The thing that sparked this debate was the Glyn situation, which had nothing to do with unemployment, addiction etc. It was just someone being silly (imo) and drinking more than they could handle, and I'm personally not a fan of those antics (which isn't all that different from you not being a fan of someone being 'boring' and preferring a quiet night and a cup of tea, it doesn't make someone snobby to not be a big fan of certain social situations). It was as simple as that.

I hope I've put my point across clearly enough now because I think this debate has derailed the thread for long enough now (partly my fault for continuing it in the first place).

Susie being a 'snob' about drinking or kebabs or whatever is all part of her charm. The fact that someone 'shouldn't' go in if they hold those views only adds to her value as a HM in my opinion because we should see all sorts of different hm's interacting, so power to her for going against type and not being afraid to bring something different, or go into an environment where she probably won't be wanted/included. Not everyone has to like her obviously but the fact that so many do 10 years later proves that she did provide for a large number of people and based on that alone I don't see how she could be classed as anything other than a good housemate.
