Russell has a style that makes the show unique. He often stuggles to control the crowd and perhaps he needs to work on that. The show is what it is and if Russell toned it down it would lose it's appeal.

He's crude but he was before he did BBBM. When Channel4 decided to appoint him they knew what they were getting and clearly it was the direction they wanted to go. Why do you have problem with it?

I think anything and anyone can be turned into 'discriminating' depending on how people wish to perceive things.

I mean, if I applied for BB and didn't get in, could I then stamp my feet like a big baby and say "They are anti Dutch-Surinamese"? Of course not!

If BB offends people, there is always Nickelodeon to tune in too.

And the irony is the same gorgeous woman that you and I rooted for to winn BB wouldn't give you a second thought after learning of your perverse media inclinations or what you deem as entertainment. let's face facts here. She'll ultimately go for a 'real prince'.

You can't say someone is being discriminatory just cos they are involved in a television program that you don't like or approve of or that isn't targeted at your particular demographic. Thats not discrimination. Fortunately, we live in a relatively free democracy where the freedom of expression is protected under the law.

You ask the question: "What about the rest of Britain who appreciates tasteful humour." Easy answer to that, watch something else. No one forces you to watch Russell, for those who appreciate more tasteful humour there's alway Last of the Summer Wine and it's ilk.

I don't like Russell, I just don't find him to be that funny. But he's entitled to say and do what he wants (as long as Channel 4 keep putting him on!!), if you don't like it, don't watch. As for kids, they shouldn't be watching it, simple as that. Too much censorship is permitted in the name of protecting children, disgusts me, it's the parents who should be called up on that not TV.

Are you Mary Whitehouse by the way?

No, in fact that's the opposite of what I'm saying. Anyone can watch whatever they like, including BB and BBBM. But if they don't like it, why watch it?

You might prefer to have a different host, but thats a matter of your preference and has nothing to do with discrimination. Hell, I'd prefer a different host for BBBM, but that doesn't mean I'm being discriminated against. I just watch something else (South Park is always on the same time, and I'd rather watch that any day)

EDIT: Oh and believe me, I am not a fan of Shilpa.

Still waiting on the answer to my Mary Whitehouse question. Or you do you not want to reveal yourself, Mrs Whitehouse

big brother can be watched by anybody, big brothers little brother can be watched by anybody and allows people to air their views.
Big mouth is for adults who have an adult point of view of the big brother franchise, a lot of people watch it and a lo of people enjoy it. If you dont like it then dont watch it, but dont preach to us trying to lay on some kind of superiority complex that you evidently have. If its too rude for you stick to "little brother".

What exactly is the problem? I have a feeling that you might be trying to wind people up on here. Just because someone likes Russell Brand does not mean that they are going to go round being a pervert or being nasty to people. There are programs I like and programs I don't like - I simply don't bother watching something I don't enjoy.

Oh, and I'm not a Shilpa fan either.

What adult point of view. Are you saying that kids adn teens should not have an opinion on societal matters. The points of view on BBBM are not strictly 'adult' Oh my, oh my, please think before you speak.

Mainly cos "poppywoggle" is a nonsense word.
