I cringed at the 'they all are' comment, too, and although I thought it was unwise of Natalie to overreact the way she did, I can understand how she felt she was being patronised.
Jayne didn't bring up skin colour unnecessarily. They were already discussing race and racism and if you'd listened properly to her story, she was saying that her mother was abused by a carer, who was black, and they put down on her file that she didn't do well with black people (i.e. was a racist) and Jayne was explaining that this wasn't the case at all and her mother was nothing like that. She was saying nice things, that she herself had black carers who gave her her life back.

I wonder if the people saying "She didn't need to bring race into it" actually listened to the whole conversation.

This for me, yours and Lostie's post to.

I really hope this isn't the start of Natalie setting out to play a race card in the series.
Get her facts right first.

So she shouted screamed and just saw red
The point that Jayne was trying to make
Came out ALL WRONG for Heavens sake
But saying that I'm afraid our Nat
Went off the rails we all know that
I guess it gave Jayne some highlight time
I don't believe she crossed the line
Nat should try to control her temper
Cos all of us will sure remember
Her total and utter over reaction
She will slip from her fan base quite a fraction
Saying all this we could lose Jayne
Because she's so boring she's a pain
There might be more to see from Nat
So waterhog I'll leave it at that

Welcome back rb xx

RB - where have you been ? missed you mate ? did you have a nice hoiliday ? I do hope so.

BB is well underway now and we need your input and brill poems.

It was offensive because Natalie was totally excluded from the conversation.

Nope. Jayne didn't say anything to warrant Natalie's attention seeking reaction.

She certainly overreacted but I don't think it's fair to say she was wrong to feel uncomfortable. Nobody knows her background and how raw racial issues may be to her and I think the whole thing was just a big misunderstanding

That said, it was one of the funniest arguments on Big Brother since C5 bought the show so

Details should never be self censored when relating an incident. Political correctness is backdoor censorship which is exactly what the I am offended brigade try to pull off

Treasure free speech and put political correctness in the trash can where it belongs.

People who are so easily offended are attention seekers that need to grow up.
