yeah, moaning about Jayne, was also because she's going through a tough time, i think she doesn't really know how to express herself, about only wanting to be friends with Jackson without upsetting him, he said to her you are beautiful, gorgeous and a goddess, how can you explain then you have no feelings without hurting his feelings

I'm actually liking her more now, as we are at last seeing more of her character. I don't think she is losing support because of Jackson, as housemates are more likely to be judged on their own actions, rather than on someone they spend time with.

I would imagine it's a combination of things. Although, as I said, I like her more now, I think she has been hypocritical in her treatment of Jayne and a little insensitive towards Jackson, so these might be reasons. It might also be that as viewers get to know each of the housemates better, that they begin to see more of what they like in others, so that their favourites and support changes.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't continue to support her, unless your views begin to change as you get to know her better. And if they do, there's nothing wrong in that, as we all reassess our views of people as we find out more about them-sometimes we might feel more positive about someone, sometimes we might feel more negatively and at other times we might just have our original views confirmed. The important thing is to really think about what you are seeing, and to not mindlessly continue supporting someone, if the evidence suggests that you shouldn't.

Just be true to yourself and your own feelings, despite what others think, as that is what really matters.

I feel similarly to this. I never particularly liked her but she has risen in my rankings over the last couple of days because I felt before like she was overly guarded and moany, whereas like you say we're seeing more of a real person now.

I think she's always come across as a bit of a snob (sorry Nicky lol) so it surprises me that this would be a reason why so many people are suddenly turning against her now. That aspect of her aside though, she's starting to seem more likeable to me in other ways so yeah, that's why she's risen a bit for me.

Huge parts of the books deal graphically with the very real practice by the white men and women plantation owners being the ultimate abhorrent hypocrites in using male and female slaves for sexual gratification, whilst belonging to the class which deemed such slaves 'lower than animals'.

I haven't read it but I love the analogy

I'd be inclined to think that it's a case of 'he's good enough for one thing but not good enough to be introduced to the family' but the thing that stops that from ringing true to me is the fact that they're carrying on on a TV show. So although she's said what she's said about him meeting her family and friends, she knows that those people are seeing her with him, so surely it can't be something that bothers her that much? It makes me think that perhaps it was an off the cuff remark and we're reading more into it than she intended? I'm not sure, I'm sort of on the fence about it. I do think she displays some snobby behaviour and saying what she said hasn't helped her, but she also doesn't strike me as a 'false' person who'd lead someone on. I think I'd give her the benefit of the doubt till we've seen more of her.
