Oh I agree for the most part although not about Lateysha being an 'easy' decision, I thought it was quite a bold one - easy and predictable would've been Jayne, but my point is more specifically about the housemates and viewers criticising people for playing games on a gameshow. Criticise them as housemates and for how crap their games may be, but not for actually playing one - that is just silly

Like...logic?!?!
I don't think people are criticising him for playing a game, but for him lying about it and making someone else look bad in the process. I also think it's the way he has chosen to present himself as honest, genuine and moralistic and then being caught out as anything but that.

It might've been easy for him but in the context of the house and indeed the show it was a shocking move that pissed a lot of people off, I can't imagine them having the same reaction had he evicted Jayne. He probably knew that too

But the housemates and the public need to realise that this is a gameshow and criticising people for playing games on a gameshow is quite moronic. I agree that he's exposed himself and clearly his strategy wasn't very well thought out or executed so he can't be playing a great game, that's not my point - it's more criticising the very act of a housemate playing a game on a gameshow that makes no sense. Not how good or bad it is, just the fact they have chosen to play a game.

I read it but I made my feelings abundantly clear elsewhere.

I actually like game players but his game was crap and he's a bore. If for instance he had gone into the diary room and gone damn they'be rumbled me I'd have thought that was great ngl but the fact he played it up and threw not only his ex but his only supporter under the bus makes me think he's not a good person at all. But I'm stupid what do I know.

...I agree with pretty much all of that and have said as much in this thread, so you can't have read it.

I've acknowledged he's a crap housemate and pretty dull. I said his game was exposed and he can't be playing a very good one. My point isn't that people can't criticise him as a housemate or the game he's playing (i.e. a crap one), more that criticising housemates for playing a game - like the actual act in and of itself objectively speaking, is just silly. Big Brother isn't a morality competition, it's a gameshow with a cash prize - if he wants to bus people because he thinks that'll help him win then all power to him. If you and others think that's a crap gameplan then fine (I don't disagree) but what I'm saying is that it is silly to criticise people for the actual act of playing a game when this is a gameshow.

Since annhialation week started, I'm sure some of those in there who hadn't been thinking strategically beforehand, started to do so. They realised that they would be pitted against each other. Getting Lateysha out was the right thing to do.
Sure Jason could have gone with an easier option, like Jayne, but he knows there are quite a few who also seem to want to get her out. Whereas someone had to break Lateysha's clique, why not him.

No one is criticising him for the playing a game though. Everyone has said it's the way he's playing it that we don't like.

Amy's OP says 'she said he was a ruthless gameplayer and she was right' though. That reads as if it's a criticism of him playing a game

And the housemates constantly moan about how awful and evil and scummy 'gameplaying' is every year. It was more a general comment tbh

Charlie didn't need any help looking bad.........she did a fantastic job of that all by herself!!!!! Actually it's the one thing she did manage to do well. Good job Charlie! Bravo.
She was one of the most psychotic bunny-boilers to ever pollute the Big Brother house and it's been so much better in there since she was evicted......by US!!!!!

Now with Jason getting rid of another silly cow for us last night things couldn't be going any better. Well done that man!!!!

You would believe anybody willing to part with a bad word towards Jason.

Charlie's unbalanced....Jason isn't...he has been nothing but a team player in there and it's got him no where...so now he is playing the game...no one appreciated his sacrifices...so now he is just going to look out for himself.
That doesn't make him ruthless it makes him brave...what does he owe these people....Nothing.
He will have the backs of a couple in there but the rest deserve nothing from him.

If Charlie was so sure of the type of person he was, she wouldn't have been pursuing him as hard as she did in the house. I've been in a relationship with a sweet talking womanizer before and this is not someone I would be willing to pick up the phone and call for a Sunday chat.

Even during her exit interview she was still praising him and saying what a nice guy he was and that though she snubbed him before walking out it was because of the amount of emotions she had (not that I entirely buy that). Even she didn't go as far as to paint him as a womanizer, but she did try to pass him as one with her false cheating allegations.

I actually think it makes her look somewhat worse. She didn't exactly follow her own truth to the letter though they both have a strange relationship with the facts. I think even that after the treatment he received after nominations he was not too keen to go along with the others in their bullying of him after she left the house. They've all bullied others in there to a degree, all distorted the truth and used their version of facts to get further in the game and manage their relationships in there.

Call it what it is but they're all gameplayers
