I dont mind Jason but im not really a fan although i do mind the boring repetitive man hating that happens series after series. I suppose it does serve a purpose as it always has the opposite effect. When people see the irrational hate it makes them defend and vote for anyone unfairly targeted even more.
Keep it up.

Along with Jayne, Jason has probably been one of the most talked about housemates this series. Sure, it's only really been the last few weeks but it's been quite a while since a housemate created such a reaction on social media, etc (this is about Lateysha's eviction btw). Fair enough if you don't like him, but he's single-handedly flipped this series of Big Brother. Without his decision everything would have been predictable, with him or Jayne being evicted instead of Lateysha, and then Lateysha would go on to win with her clique up her arse right until the end. Like it or not Jason has played a huge part this series and for me, he would be a deserving winner.

I really like Jayne

And he's been talked about for negative things? not sure how that makes him a deserved winner, he hasn't enjoyed his time in the house whatsoever ?

and yes he flipped the show for the worse???

That's your opinion, but it's not all been negative. A lot of people have praised him for his actions. Anyway that's all irrelevant as anyone knows that BB strives off talking points/controversy so surely it's a good thing

Well said. You do not post enough for me Bob - even when we are on opposite sides of an argument.

"man hating series after series"? How many women are left in the house? how often is the reverse true? which gender is only ever referred to as being able to win because they've got close to a hm? which gender is talked about as being able to win on their own merits and not because they sucked up to someone?.

Man hating My a***.

He's such a boring housemate!

He's a huge game player, I mean I know its a game but he's so fake its unreal.

He literally hasn't done anything in the house.

I cannot believe people would rather vote Laura out, who's actually done nothing wrong and does actually participate in the house goings on.

Please enlighten me on why Jason is such a deserved winner?

He's So shifty its unreal and plays the sympathy vote all the time

I for one can not wait to see the look on his dopey face when he finally gets evicted.

rant over.
Rant totally understandable! I'm 100% with you on this one, and think you have summed him up perfectly. I would only add that I can no longer stand his self-pitying- he acts like a sulky little toddler about to throw a tantrum very soon if things don't go his way. So unappealing.

I also believe all that stuff about framing his Dad's letter was so uncomfortably insincere last night, and was his way of manipulating viewers into feeling sympathy for him, and convincing them he is a lovely man. Only Jackson does that better! To me, his body language did not match his words.

I really wish he goes tonight, as Laura at least has some redeeming qualities and has been involved. Sadly, I dread he won't.

Jason has totally split opinion, and I think that is why he is talked about so much.

Even though I am not a fan, I have to say him pressing that button, the implications it had and the drama it caused was excellent viewing.

I also want to ask why does anyone who has a different opinion of Jason automatically get labelled a 'hater' by his fans? Hatred might be true of some, but on a discussion forum surely sharing of different opinions is to be expected!? Just because you don't find him sincere or real doesn't mean you hate him!

It's a bit like saying all Jason fans are gullible, narrow minded people who don't have the sense to see through his act. That would be wrong, just as belittling those with a different opinion by calling them 'haters' and then dismissing their views by calling it hatred is wrong.

I find it hard to understand why some of those who call themselves fans of any contestant will defend and excuse them no matter what they do, rather than accepting that even people we like have flaws and get it wrong sometimes- that is just being human. I also find it ironic that some people who call themselves fans can be found on other threads 'hating' on other housemates.

Where is the ability to be objective, and see different points of view?

The bolded part is absolutely spot on. I am a fan of the show before any housemate so find it utterly bizarre and very weird how far some will go to defend or attack a housemate especially those that group together every series and attack the same type of housemates even to the point of being ofcom botherers.
It is so counter productive and frankly a bit stupid to behave like that.
I suppose thats down to how dumbed down and cheap C5 have made the show and the audience they target now.

A lot of that I think is misconception. Most people do in fact admit favourites can be flawed and even criticise favourites, sometimes people even like them for those flaws but often someone who opposes a view will only see what they want to see because they don't share an opinion.

For instance if you like Lateysha then you probably think Jason did a terrible thing and his fans should bloody well admit it. But if you like Jason then you probably don't see him evicting her as wrong but rather as a stroke of genius.

Having said that though if someone is your favourite then you like them so why would you condemn them for things that might be reasons you like them or because they have a rough day and act miserable? If your best mate in your real life has a tough day you support them, give them a shoulder and don't stop being friends so why would you with a favourite.

Because:

He's not a boring housemate he's just a mature and decent guy

He's a brilliant Game Player

He's done plenty in the house none least than the time he hit that button and created one of the biggest shocks in BB history

He will definitely be in the final

He's a big bloke. They hope he's big all over. Simple as that. As for Laura, she had the nerve to be pretty, young and confident.

At some point in life most people realise it's not really about size but about the skill with which you wield it.

Can I just point out something to you Speedster? YOU are so obviously fascinated by Jason, going by the number of posts you keep making on him.
