If I got a girl pregnant, I'd want to be involved. I'd hate the thought of having my child being brought up without a father. I'd demand it be called London aswell.

The sad thing I feel is that teenage boys (like men) who are not married have very few rights with regards to their children. They can be excluded from their childrens lives very easily which I think is terribly unfair. |

Good answer Chris
![]() Shame not all boys are like you, a few boys in my year have got girls pregnant and have just been complete cowards, freaked out and just left it for the girl to sort out. And I'm sure that the girl will call the child London. ![]() (BTW just found out that my hometown, Swansea has the highest percentage on teenage pregnancies in the UK!! ![]() |

At this stage in my life, if i were to get pregnant, I would definately abort it, no question. People may feel its barbaric to end the life of a living being, but I believe its much worse to bring a child up where A) it isn't loved or neglected B) The mother & father have drifted apart, causing constant arguments, and physical abuse which is witnessed by the child. There are plenty kids walking around these days with parents who just dont care, who got pregnant accidentily, but couldnt give two hoots about the wellbeing of the child, thus sending him/her out to play, just to get them out of their hair. Those children who were neglected,or grew up in a warzone will have psychological problems, which they'll carry with them for the rest of their lives.
If I ever decide to have children, I will have made sure that I was ready, that the father of the child is reliable, and we both get on, and will stay together without the child witnessing massive arguements.I think when you make the decision to have a child, you should realize that for the next 18 years at least, your priorities come second, the childs first, in my view it's an ultimately selfless thing to do (having a baby) if you're doing it for the right reasons. Tbh, I can't imagine me having kids, with the childhood I had,I'd put my child first, before anything else, to make sure he/she had the best upbringing possible, and I'm just too selfish right now. |

When I tell people that my Dad reared me and my sister I get a strange reaction sometimes. I think people still see the mother as the person who rears/should rear the children. That's a good answer, Chris. Unfortunately the reality of finding yourself in that situation is often very different. If it actually happened to you the circumstances may change your opinion of getting involved. |

I'd want to be involved and all.I honestly couldnt see my child go without having a father and I'd provide financially for them as I'd see it as my responsibilty.

I really don't know what i'd do. It doesn't even bear thinking about for me because i don't know if i want kids full stop nevermind at 16.
As i've said in other threads, and as Nowhere just said, i'm too selfish for kids, especially right now. |
