Come on clinging to a bloody car crying your eyes you need a slap.

Just a reality check, George was driving around off his face on drugs crashed into a shop for which he was jailed for, how many of his fans would be mourning the poor person he could of killed. He did not give a fcuk about the health and safety of anyone else.

ANYWAY

If Joanna Lumley was to die (which she won't) I'm not having this geezer telling me I can't grieve so remove him from this Earth immediately.

Looking at it from an attachment theory perspective I'd say this is a case of redirection we are mourning George who was Greek as really our sorrow is for Europe?
The woman clinging to the car is a remainer and the car is Europe ...possibly

This tbh

It's strange to mourn the death of someone you don't know.

I personally don't do that but I understand some people may have been part of his fan club for years, perhaps organising it, perhaps have met him a few times, perhaps made life long friends based on this common interest and so it really feels like a part of them has died when said celebrities dies.

And this guy, George was one of the greats. Looking back at his catalogue he wrote some absolute classics. You can disagree with his personal life but not his work.
