BIG MOTHER Davina MaCall will not be back to present the eighth series of the hit reality show, Big Brother, this year.

Show producers last night confirmed the axe saying "After Dermot and Russell left we decided we would introduce a whole new set of presenters. This means we do say a sad goodbye to Davina." Davina has presented the show since it began in 2000 and has been hit and miss with fans.

"Davina is a big fan of the show and was sad when we broke the news to her. We know Davina will continue to support the show and we wish her the best of luck in the future."

It rumoured that Zoe Ball, who was a original stand-in presenter back in 2002, could step in to replace Davina this summer.

Producers confirmed that a E4 special airing all of Davina's best bits will air later this year.
