Excuse my ignorance but what's the big issue with kneeling during the national anthem?

I feel like Americans are so over sensitive about stuff like that like we literally had a party leader running for PM not sing the national anthem and there was hardly and fuss brought up (not that there should be but u know)

Because a lot of the people who take issue with it only believe in Freedom of Speech when it benefits them, show them something they don't like and they'll suddenly not care much about their own rights as long as they can act outraged at a black person.

Just to add one more point to what Dezzy said, prior to 2009 the national anthem was not played at every game so this outrage is about an event that has only been going for less than ten years.
