Being fair here I think a politician as high profile doing something like Gogglebox is a bit crass and obvious,,, but... let's not pretend it isn't standard politics. It's all PR, and they all do it... if Theresa May or any other politician thought it would be good for their profile to do it, they'd snap it up too. They'd balance on chairs juggling monkeys if someone told them it's give them an extra 1% vote share. The whole lot of them.

I didn't think my disillusionment with the main parties could get any worse

He was very civilized and appeared relaxed. Jessica Hynes seemed nervous and self-conscious though.

The long and the short of it is, if you like Corbyn you will of enjoyed seeing him on Gogglebox. If you dislike Corbyn you will be critical.

Hardly a debate is it?

I suppose it makes politicians more human and accessible to the voting public.
As it was for charity, I can't see a problem personally, had he mentioned politics in any way whatsoever then I would have taken a different view.
I don't watch Gogglebox other than the odd snippet when changing channels but I watched the last half last night due to nothing decent being on, I thoroughly enjoyed it, even though I was bubbling like a baba most of the time.
The actual celebrities were far more interesting to watch than Mr.Corbyn, their reaction to the sad parts were quite moving.

He was his usual dosy-looking self in my opinion. His face is always expressionless, some may even say emotionless. Never trust someone whose expressions don’t mirror their words I say.

I agree. I forgot Corbyn was even there. What makes that programme generally are watching the reactions and emotions of those being watched. He wasn’t a good pick in my opinion.

Why? The whole point of gogglebox is getting the opinions of a cross section of society on what's on TV.
My guess is they wouldn't dare have bojo on, he can't open his mouth without putting his foot in it.

Remember that everyone you meet is afraid of something. A sociopaths biggest fear is being recognized for lack of empathy and so become well practiced in facial expression.

On a plus side, Mr. Corbyn also described how you can coddle an egg.

I thought 'coddled' meant protecting someone. Was Jeremy talking about protecting an egg?!? I had to look it up!
