Speaking up for Gay Rights is a pretty big thing , don t you think, when there is so much bigotry to face as shown by Ann there s lot who think n would react like her if they were brave enough to be honest about their real uneducated feelings about it.

shane keeps talking about gay right's, women's rights, and it is boring me, did he go into that house for fun or too enforce his way of things onto people, past gay housemates have never once talked about gays rights, and because if one person in there does not agree with him he gets offended about it, its not about equality to him its about one group of people being above another group of people these days, so equality is out of the window these days and its all about having power now.

I agree with the sentiment that there are other issues, but I wouldn’t say women are still oppressed. A lot of feminist issues apply to men as well they’re just not spoken about as much

No they’re not. The wage gap has been debunked 18292282 times, sexual abuse rates are also misleading as a lot of women cry wolf/both sexes tend to not be very open about it. Women get all the same job opportunities as men and can get positions of power: the 6 most powerful people in the uk are women for example. Women also win child custody battles, access to domestic abuse shelters (ive met men who have said that they’ve been denied places at domestic abuse shelters because ‘we only take in women’), they win divorce settlements and their sexual abuse cases are taken very seriously and are favoured in these cases, which is the opposite for how men are treated in these situations.

He is very passionate about the subject and with that passion he wants to talk about it and try and get his voice heard. Nothing wrong with that but it is a little repetitive and if you are locked in the house I guess it would get tiresome, he even said last night that HE is sick of his own voice.

I do agree, he needs to find his fulfillment in a relationship like Amanda and Wayne who can then relax and take a wider view of the whole scene.

Shane J has failed many times to find a lasting relationship (his words) and the fact he goes after straight men to change brings him only rejection. One asks the question why he needs to to do this when there are so many gay men in his world. Is it that he likes these straight men or is it the urge to make them say he has changed them which is the over riding factor.

Who knows but for all his Gay rights and campaigning, it hasn't brought him lasting personal happiness.

Every human is capable of being good, bad or indifferent to others.

We are individuals with individual choices.
We choose how we think and choose how we behave.

The war is not men v women, black v white.
You can't blame a whole gender or a whole race for the actions of a few!

The MAJORITY of people are good people - of ALL backgrounds and types.

NO race or gender are your enemy! It's racist or sexist to frame it like that.

Ignorance and oppressive attitudes and behaviour - that is the enemy.
