I didnt think they where, i jus remember being told that no one was affected by it so BB decided not to break the 'no contact with the outside world' rule.

yeah but it's pretty obvious if something happened the hms would be taken to safety wherever it may be. it's highly unlikely anything will happen but that's what i expect will be the outcome.

They didn't tell the housemates. I remeber Dermott saying that as the housemates were not affected they had taken the decission not to tell them!

Anyhue

Remember BB4 and the bomb scare and evacuation?
Yes I remember being convinced that it was a publicity stunt.

If there is a terrorist attack, obviously anybody who might know someone affected in the attack should be told. I seem to remember after the London bombings, they made sure that the families of all the housemates were fine, so they didn't tell them. On the one hand I think it was the right thing to do. On the other hand, what if a friend of one of the housemates had been injured?

I don't think they should be told about any natural disasters, unless it places the housemates in any kind of danger.

I think they are allowed to get told something like that, remember last year Dawn was told her sister was 'ill'.

They would have to tell them - it would be an absolute disgrace if they didn't and something serious like that happened.

I highly doubt there will be a "major" disaster while the HM's are in the house
would be interesting though

What if there was such a ratings dive that BB8 was cancelled mid series

But given today's ruling by Ofcom, they may be so paranoid that BB8 becomes banal and anodine that people switch off in droves.
