If the police thought for one second the car had been stolen they would be looking for the thieves
It’s too horrible to contemplate!

Poor little girl

Her mum and dad seem very strange.

I read that the poor little child had 'Learning Difficulties'.

Whether that turns out to be 'relevant' or not remains to be seen, but 'something' about this tragic incident does not 'sit right' with me.

Just my opinion.

Yes their reactions were strange to say the least, both on FB after her death, plus that car was in the water for two hours before it was found, so how come she was pulled out and died in hospital ?surely after two hours she would have been dead at the scene.I have to admit I have wondered if this was an accidently on purpose 'accident' I hope I am wrong.

Who leaves their 3 year old girl in a car on her own though, it's one thing to nip in to pay for your petrol if you have a baby in the back fast asleep who can't release themselves even if they do wake up, but a girl of 3, why didn't they take her with them or one of them stay in the car, if it is a tragic accident I don't know how they will ever get over doing that. Its negligence on par with the McCanns (at the risk of triggering LT)

Oh me too. Too horrible to think her own parents could conspire to kill her like that. Imagine if there is a higher plane to which our ‘souls’ go after death and she was aware of that. Poor little thing.

It would also make you wonder how she may have been treated in her short life by people capable of doing that to their own little girl. I really don’t know what to think.

So the Car was not Stolen at all.

It rolled down the hill into the water
the mother failed to put the hand brake on
proper.

She needed some cash from her Desk draw
so ran up to it
there was snow so she left the car heater on etc.

Like Cal, Kaz, Kirk and Cherie... it seems kind of odd, and so do the parents. Tragic of course, for the child. And if the mother left off the handbrake like it has been reported, not sure how someone could live with that.

people leave kids strapped in cars all the time I think

In the McCanns case an abductor was the key element not the situation

So sad.
To lose a child is horrendous, but to know it was down to a mistake you made must be very hard to live with.

This whole thing seems really odd, more so after a picture of where the car was parked. What sort of idiot leaves a young child unattended in a car on a steep slipway that point straight at the water. It may be a tragic accident but still it seems incredibly careless and dangerous for a parent to do that.

Also correct me if I'm wrong but if you were on a steep incline and forgot to put the handbrake on wouldn't the car just keep going if you took your foot off the break?

Plus would a car roll down in a straight line ? they usually veer to the left or right if they are not steered.

freak accidents do happen. The case where that Star trek actor ran himself over comes to mind. However, a lot of things had to happen for this to end up in the tragedy that it did. First, the car would need to be left out of gear with the handbrake not fully engaged, then it would need to be exactly aligned to fall down the path into the water, then sufficient time passed for it to have sunk without a trace (and without a sound) so that they could assume it was stolen .... cars don't sink quickly, it wouldn't have gone into the water at speed.

So, how long does it take to pick up some money from the office. 1 minute, 2? Certainly wouldn't expect it to be more than that, else why leave the baby in the car. A car would not have sunk without trace in that time, so it would have been visible. For me its an awful lot of coincidences

I've always found credit cards pretty bendy. It's quite hard to snap one forcefully with your hands.

From a news report in the mirror today "Police are investigating the tragedy and could question the 25-year-old as to whether she put Kiara "at risk" by leaving her alone in a car on a steep slope. "
