BB has been ****. For more than a few years now. It won’t be Love Islands fault if BB inevitably flops this year, it’s the idiots in charge of it.

Sooner it’s canned the better tbh.

They did this last year, if you’ll remember: BB launched at 8:30pm when love island launched at 9pm, then BB aired at 10pm after love Island at 9pm every night, and eventually they even moved evictions to 10pm on Thursdays, after love island. None of it worked

Again, the same theory basically existed for CBB last year (we even said that’s why they made the CBB adverts ‘sexy’) but then CBB experienced it’s lowest ratings ever. (and also, the final 4 days of bbuk aired directly after the love island final and dropped to a series low)

So in heindsight this is why I think COMPLETELY avoiding Love Island would work better than just trying to fly alongside it - people cba with both at the same time one after the other

I agree with you... All I'm saying is that there were some less than stellar series that aired on Channel 4... Especially towards the end of it's run...

17 increased from 16...

I think without LI 18 would probably average 1.4 million, still higher than BB16, the RTV stars would turn people off a bit I Guess...

BB17 was back to it's standard C5 ratings (1.6m) after BB16 did badly (1.4m). 18 most likely would have been at around 1.4m instead of 1.2m had it not been on when LI was on

I actually don't care about the ratings. It is bound to flop anyway. Just give us our usual June launch and shut the hell up. I need the eye, house and pre-launch hype.

Why do people like that damn show. It's just a bunch of plastic people hooking up on a beach.

So BB is scared that much of Love Island to not air until if and when that season ends. lol. Wow. Business and pleasure. smh.

At least I'm A Celebrity, and Dancing on Ice (I don't watch that crap either) has some entertainment value.

Big Brother is gonna die because of that stupid ass show. lol.

LI’s more entertaining than both of those shows ngl, besides based on how you described it as “people hooking up on a beach” shows that you clearly have never seen the show.

I HAVE seen Love Island and I agree it is crap, has nothing to do with my love for BB as I am always down for another enjoyable reality show. The contestants are all plastic and mostly devoid of personality, the narration is not funny or clever, hostess Flack has nothing on Emma, I just dont get the appeal. This, again, from someone who wanted to like the show. Coach Trip is more entertaining. .

Even though I hate LI as welll it’s not “people hooking up on a beach.” They live in a VILLA to begin with...
