Whatever can be said about the England team. One has to admire Southgate and what he has achieved. He was considered a poor choice of England manager and has ended up being the best for decades. It's not only the results, its the completely professional way he has approached the job

attention to detail


look at when a player is subbed, he is congratulated first by the manager and then he goes down the coaching line in order before he sits down

when Lukaku was subbed Martinez had force him to briefly shake his hand before he sloped off and sat down

Croatia’s midfield is amazing and they will probably dominate Henderson, but nothing else fears me. Their defence will struggle greatly against our crossing. Come on!!!

Strinic, Lovren, Vida are already good defenders, and they also have a experienced central defender in Corluka

England still relies on too much on the long ball strategy. It might to cost them.

We hardly ever use the long ball. The ball is always movesd from the back with short passing. We cross a lot yes, but why wouldn’t we with Kane in the box?

I think both semi finals will be good open games with great football on display. I expect plenty of goals. I couldn't call the result with any certainty for either game and that's got to be good for football.

I think that Henderson will do okay.

I'm more nervous that we'll go off to a sluggish start again like we have done in every game that we've played so far.

Croatia '98 and and Davor Suker, what player.

Everyone was raving about France on that World Cup, but I think Croatia was equally or more great than them.

Croatia were my pick to surprisingly win the whole thing after their groups performance but since then results haven’t been great

I expect England to see them off
