Furthermore, I find it less offensive that they pay their fine with licence payers cash, than the hugely inflated salaries and bonuses splashed around in the BBC's upper echelons, usually to old school chums sipping champagne and leaning decidedly Left.

Oh I wasn't disagreeing with you Kirk. They have no alternative but to pay him! All I meant was that, if they wanted to save some money to pay his expenses, they could do that by getting rid of some of their overpaid executives.
