He has been unfired... and rehired by Disney for Guardians of the Galaxy 3.

I wouldn't have got him back for film-making reasons. First Guardians was okay, second was awful I thought - worst MCU film (of the ones I've seen).

They should have had Waititi (Ragnarok) direct Guardians 3 because Thor Ragnarok was a better Guardians film than Guardians 2.

Although I'm against people being fired for 10-year-old stupidity so for that reason I think it's a good thing they rehired him. I mean even if the jokes had been two or three years old it would be bad but... 10? The TS that was posting **** online 10 years ago doesn't even exist any more .

I'm glad that he has been rehired because personally he does my favourite MCU franchise, and I don't really believe in censoring jokes (even if some people find the joke distasteful) it's just not my style.

And of course the fact that the Tweets were so long ago and the far right were trying to compare his tweets to Roseanne Parr's bile makes me even more happy that Disney had to back down on the decision to fire him.
