I think the mods reasoning was that if they allowed any and all chat threads there would be countless ones cluttering up the forum with everyone making their own.

yep true, this has happened once before and then we had gotten a warning from Josy that we should only have 1 chat thread and if we do this again we wouldn't be allowed to have chat threads at all on here

As I just said to Nicky, theres always been 2 chat threads. The reasoning was that those who posted in each one didn't really get on with the other members, so it caused less arguments to have them separated. Like, there was the lounge and the brotherhood...2 sets of members with very different interests, made sense to have 2, even though when one got closed the members who posted in it invaded the other one and just caused arguments there

IDK what to do about the new ones tbh, so leaving it to someone else /badmod

It was suggested that there was a way for members to 'donate' to the site for server costs and stuff so that we didn't need to rely on advertisers and had a bit more freedom, but not sure what the result of that convo was

It was supposed to be ironic since I was AWFUL a year back and probably didn't help the advertiser situation

Although from the sounds of some of the ads, I can only imagine sex talk pulled in a few advertisers?? Odd how sex talk would push away sexual ads
