Somebody said it at last! Bravo!
I disagree with that...... is was massive in the 90's, supergrass, pulp, blur...it was called brit pop but its was still indie. Its just come around again.... as all music does.
Yeah but in recent years their has been a second wave of Indie , and its starting to take over the country. Thats what she meant. Ok so she said the word 'new' but lets not base our preceptions of a housemates personality around a sentence they said in her VT.

As we know , VT's are usually full of bullshit.

Thats the way i saw it anyway.....i doubt it will be shown on highlights cos of all the arguments last night, its little things like that which you see on the livefeed which isn't shown on the higlights that can sway your opionions on people. Again its a little thing, but early on its enough to leave a bad impression. Also the skinny jean comment was just pathetic.

I didnt say that....... but I can base my preceptions on whatever I find appealing or disappealing.

I personally find her a little fake

I find her vile. The way she casually opened the door and asked Lesley her age and made no attempt to talk to her, and made it so obvious the others were talking about her. I also see no signs of intellect either, just a posh accent. Common and boring.

Hmm, I saw it as in she asked her the date of birth so she didnt sound rude asking her age. And also, why would she come up with the story about the war if she was making it obvious

She wanted to know the womans age. I dont see the issue. People are generally very common. Hence the term common. It was a casual thing she was doing.

yea sure........yesterday i heard her saying "I bought my skinny jeans 3 years, i mean who was wearing skinny jeans 3 years ago"......so apparently she's invented the Skinny Jeans style as well!

Again, nothing massive, but the little things like that are adding up, it seems that she thinks shes something special.

and the way she approached Lesley & asked her about her d/o/b wasn't exactly done in a nice way.

She askled her for her date of birth, because she thought she was 60, but other housemates were saying she was 72. God..

It's just rude the way she stuck her head out the door and casually asked, without any awareness of Lesley's feelings. It is rude and immature. If I was in there, I would have a conversation with Lesley before asking, what I consider to be a personal and rude question to someone who is clearly not young.
That is the key. Lesley is not 20. You do not just stick your head out the door and casually ask someone's date of birth. Rude. Also her facial expression was one of sarcasm when Lesley (quite right) refused to tell her. This shows a lack of sensitivity when deeling with an older person.

Thats a bit...insane. And she did give a reason , she said she 'just wanted to know'.

Its a bloody date of birth! It hardly constitutes an awe inspiring reason!

Did they not all ask each other their dates of birth?

Okayy Maybe she meant it like not many people were wearing them 3 years ago.

i like her, and with the whole indie comment it was just a comment! fair enough indie has been around for a while, but i think she meant sort of, new indie?

I see what you're saying. She did show a lack of respect there.
It may not bug some so much, but to other people - older especially - asking them their age like that, whilst making it obvious that others were talking about them, isn't really polite. I never really saw it that way.

Stu, the lady is 60 years old. There is respect when dealing with the matter of age with someone who is clearly not a youngster.
Particularly the casual way she did it.

Just wanting to know a date of birth isnt a reason, if you are over a certain age its rather rude just to be asked in my opinion

Lesley's the same one who stole the single bed form under the others noses right? Not exactly a noble thing to do either. Age is not the issue.

Yes .. but she said she wanted to know if she was alive when she was in the war, the only reason she was asking is because people were saying seh was 72 and Emily thought seh was 60

Well all the housemates think she's 72...... if she told them her year of birth it could be a good thing... they think she is older than she actually is.

Again its the way she did it, just didn't come across very nice......It seems people are either loving her or hating her at the moment. Atleast its giving us something to talk about.
