Thoughts! Spoilering in case someone's stupid enough to come in here without seeing the episode yet.

It was a pretty meh episode overall... there were too many gaps and the tension, whatever there may have been, was repeatedly washed away and it never felt like any of the queens were really at peril.

Also some serious accusations of riggery to be thrown around here: why did Latrice and Monique go last when she was the first to pick? Trinity just HAPPENED to get a song to showcase her ass-shaking? Valentina just HAPPENED to get a song about being a cat whilst wearing a catsuit?

It's really hard to get wowed by another excuse to promote Ru's blah music (Kitty Girl and Sissy That Walk are good but I've heard them ENOUGH) and... yeah I dunno I'm just bored by the episode. Gia vs. Naomi and Monique vs. Latrice were both brilliant battles, though, and I'd have liked all 4 to survive. Gia just blew her reveal way too early and the "revealed outfit" was far too obvious really, would've been great if it tied into her schoolgirl/Harry Potter preveal outfit (perhaps something like a snake, or some witching stuff with those amazing Kibuki techniques she displayed in episode 1?) But yeah it just all felt very obvious Latrice would return. Which is fine, because she killed it.

Just... could've been a 10/10 episode and in the end it was just a 7.

Ru was kinda annoying this time, too.

And Manila's runway was great. Monet's was not.

I feel like people saying Latrice is dilusional or disrespecting Chad or whatever are kinda twisting words. When she says she doesn't count AS1 its cause AS1 queens were screwed by a really short season and a weird duo twist to make up for less episodes. Gave the whole season an off vibe and the mess of AS1 is what made people want and hype up a potenial AS2 for a years(?) before it happened. That's why we don't count that season lol.

I think the potential of the results for the twist made the eventual results kind of lackluster. Especially by the final lipsync, I was telling my bf that it'd been a waste of two episodes. I really would have been fine with the returning queens cleaning the other girls out sans Naomi. There just isn't a charasmatic one in that trio imo.

It feels like the same kinda thing that's put me off all three of Trinity Monique and Val. Like yeah they're alright (but not really compared to most of the girls on the logo seasons*) yet they think they're some gift to earth because ... they were on Vh1?

*when I say logo seasons I mean girls like Raja Manila Sharon Jinkx Alaska Bianca Adore Latrice Courtney. Queens that were genuinely talented and likeable imo.

I think this episode would have been a perfect opportunity to clean house and get Gia, Jasmine and Latrice back. Literally would have put up with the shottiest lipsync editing to make it happen. But that's just what I was hoping for tonight.

I enjoyed the ep, I prefer it to the normal return of a queen ep that AS usually do, I don’t really see how the song choices could have been rigged, I think that’s looking into a little too deep. IA about it being boring when it’s always Ru songs, but I guess it’s for budge reasons?

Anyway, called the double shantay, but I don’t doubt Latrice will be gone again in the next two weeks, which is why she was so over it in her MTQ and the promo tour.

Also I can’t believe Gia and Jasmine didn’t know their words, such a mess

I stand by it girl. Not saying that Naomi's some super charismatic non monotone goddess, but I really can't support Val knowing where every single camera is making sure that we know she knows where the camera is.

Can't bring myself to like Monique shoving her two 'taglines' down our throats every ep. Yeah she's showing herself to be more talented this season than last, but at this point I think I understand that she thought it was brown cow, she says "ooh aah aah sensation" and "stunning." I got it by like ep 2 and that does not a personality make.

And watching Trinity is awkward, it just feels like she's always nervously awaiting a chance to land a joke ever since someone told her she was funny on season 9.

Having Gia Lattice and Jasmine would've been a nice change to have some slightly less forced queens on the show.

So I did like the episode. Was it predictable... yeah. Did it seem rigged in the way Shaun suggested... probably... but I was still gripping my kid's hand and I screamed loud enough when Latrice came back, for my other kid to run upstairs to see if I was alright. Did I call there being a double shante... yeah I called it. It was a week to save Valentina (boo) and a week to revive Latrice (yay) which is basically true to the show and it's format if we are all honest. It wasn't as big a twist as we would have all liked but I enjoyed it!

When Latrice was saying in the confessionals during Farrah vs Valentina “Valentina is killing it she’s doing so amazing” I was like... surely they pulled that from the Ep2 Lipsync or somewhere else cause she was literally walking and crawling about the stage

Did they really have to bring Latrice back tho? Seems like an unpopular opinion but I haven't really enjoyed her at all this season and Monique was a lot better in that lipsync I was ready to fume thinking she was going home

Bitter Farrah was a scream omd and Gia slayed that lipsync which I was actually surprised by whew queen <3 But overall this is genuinely a big waste of time considering only one queen returned and she's probably gone next week anyways

I really have gone off Latrice majorly the season, even more so after this episode, she's so arrogant, she got sent home early because she's been so vanilla this season in her performance and runways, trinity & monqiue are my firm favs going forward and they both killed it this episode
