It's something that's overblown in order to demonise children. Were there adults trying to cheat the system during our own immigration crisis? Certainly, but it's not common enough to suggest that most migrants are actually adults posing as children. That is a ridiculous generalisation.

How does this change the fact that children are dying in car parks turned into tent cities that are meant to hold children in poor conditions? Undrinkable water, poor sanitation etc. You've brought up something completely unrelated in order to brush the death and abuse of children under the rug.

The only real link that Obama has to this story is that the law that the Trump administration is abusing came from Obama's administration and was, during his time, rarely used because it wasn't abused. This isn't about people being deported, it's about children being denied rights that were established by US law.

The way Trump has his supporters pretty much turning their heads away from facts is terrifying.

More migrant children have died in US custody in the past year than ever before. FACT.

The government are cancelling english lessons for these children and thus violating the Flores agreement. FACT.

The law that allowed for the separation of children from their guardians was a law created in the Obama administration and was only enacted in situations in which the Border services believed that the children were being trafficked. Within the entirety of Obama's administration there was only a few tens of children at most separated from their guardians compared to the thousands since Trump has taken office. FACT.

At the end of the day, these are children and the dehumanisation and villainisation of them by the right is ****ing gross and inhumane.
