Same thing happened to me when I was down south on holiday 4 years ago. I had to wait over a month to get the money back, which put a bit of a strain on our holiday budget. We don't have an overdraft either, so we just had to spend less. That part pissed me off. The machine was supposed to pay out 200 quid and it only gave me 20. We had saved up for our holiday and couldn't spend our own money because of a stupid machine.

And the fact that it was a standalone machine within an entertainment complex means that there aren't any staff on-site who are responsible. I ran up about 20 quid on my mobile phone calling their various ("Not very Much")Help lines! The Bastards!

Co-incidentally, I was also with Abbey at the time.

Not even an apology kizwiz, well the word "sorry" wasnt on the letter.

Sounds like you know how i feel Stropz, must have been even more annoying for you though if you were on holiday. your right the worst thing is that nobody on the site takes responsibility for it, Ive not been in my local closest shop because i wasnt sure they were trying to rip me off or not.

Im going there in a minute and showing them the letter and tell them the machine has lost them my custom.

The biggest slap in the face is that the machines guilty of this kinda crap are the same machines that impose a £2.50 charge to give you your own farking money!
