I hope he recovers, but I kind of agree that 100 is a very good life really. Thats not to say he shouldn't have had that of course, but 100 is very good innings in reality.
(Side note - I doubt anyone has him on the deathlist. He wouldnt be worth any points) |

I've seen so much disrespect about death on TiBB lately. Maybe we can have a poll on what age is okay for someone to die so that people can have a laugh about it. I mean, at what age does it stop being sad for a family? It's all hilarious. |

I wouldnt be too arsed about being on the deathlist either thinking about it (not something i have ever considered until this post) though I know that was not the point of your reply..just was a weird thing to think through there! But yeah, comparing deaths of loved ones, to deaths of largely strangers..is not really a fair comparison..especially 100 year old celeb strangers. Its not really like saying 'oh, your gran had good innings, chin up' or something

At 99 you're more at risk from the anesthesia than the actual procedure so they must have been confident he was strong enough to get through it. Hope he has a good recovery.

things do seem more optimistic now. The palace seem to be very careful in what info they are giving out, more so than usual

...that’s the best cardiac care hospital, isn’t it...?...I guess they were possibly waiting for his infection to be treated at the previous hospital so that he was well enough to be transferred for the procedure...

...so hopefully his recovery will be relatively speedy now...not plain sailing as such because he’s still very vulnerable with health conditions and age...I don’t reckon he’ll do much sailing anymore...

...I hope that he’s not driving that BMW...I wish him well and hopefully a continued recovery from his surgical procedure...

Remembering Kerry
|
He is an incredible man with incredible willpower.
Really admirable. Of course he's frail, he'll have had endless tests done, that alone takes a lot out of you. Then he's had a procedure done too. 4 weeks in hospital and he's only 3 months off being 100 years old. It's really heartening to see him returning home at last. So now I hope his fuller recovery can take place at a pace suited to him. |
