Definitely sounds like something Messi would say.

Apparently City have ruled themselves out of the Messi negotiations ... maybe Messi has given the wink to Pep that he’s going nowhere ??

Or maybe the PSG deal is as good as done ?

I kinda expected ManU to get involved tbh

Which "City" have ruled themselves out?

Stoke City? Hull City? Bradford City? Manchester City? Cardiff City? Leicester City? Coventry City? Chester City? York City? Birmingham City? Swansea City? Norwich City? Exeter City?

Be more specific, because being from Hull, when you say "City" I think you're talking about Hull City, because in Hull, they get called "City"

I wish that we were in contention to sign Messi.

sky sports .....

Lionel Messi has received a two-year contract offer from Paris Saint-Germain and is reviewing and considering it carefully.

The French club have offered the six-time Ballon d'Or winner an initial two-year deal, thought to be worth £25m a year after tax.

Messi also has two other potential options but PSG remain the favourites to sign him.

------------------

So before tax that about 1m a week assuming 50% tax rate

Messi agreed to take a 50% wage cut at Barcelona to 1m a week. I wonder how many teams out there can afford even 1m a week

no one can

whoever signs him, will become the next club in massive debt

and as if Messi had been that great last season were Barca champions, umm nope, very much of a unusually weak year for them

i feel like now at Barca there is a chance for new stars to rise up without this big ego around anymore

Messi at his age would be better off to go and end his career at Newell's maybe, and afterwards join there as a first team coach
