Regardless of people's thoughts on Katie or any other victims ... playing down domestic violence or any assault for that matter is pretty disgusting IMO.

As to why police go ahead with criminal trials with a victim statement is because if it’s deemed in the public interest and there is enough evidence to secure a conviction without the victim’s statement
As this is front page news even if Katie decided to withdraw a statement the police and cps would try to persue a conviction because men cannot be allowed to to assault women and get away with it Many many assault cases get dropped if they are just every day people and the victim withdraws or refused to give a statement it can go on for many years that the same person is assaulted but are so messed up that they can’t break the cycle Last edited by thesheriff443; 25-08-2021 at 12:12 PM. |
